    62-65 push-button shifter conversion

What happened to the push-button shifter conversion that Imperial Services was doing a few years back? They converted the shifter to use one cable for a newer 727 trans. I looked on their site and it isn't there any more. Does anyone know what happened? Does anyone know of any options that...

    WTB 1964 Plymouth Belvedere Cowl

I am in need of the drivers side of the cowl from the vent outward. At least enough to include the windshield wiper section. Thank you. Harold

New guy here - Rich Kinsley Omaha, NE '64 Dodge 4dr LeRoar

Ok. See, not knowing much about it, I always thought that oil would only be draining down from the heads in that area. It never dawned on me that it would be splashing upward. I guess in racing, every little trick helps. Thanks for the info Rich.

New guy here - Rich Kinsley Omaha, NE '64 Dodge 4dr LeRoar

Hey Rich, I don't mean to be dumb here, but can you explain the flat metal piece bolted in the valley (in the last pic). Not knowing anything about racing, I would think that it would cause a loss of lubrication to the cam lobes. I don't plan on building a race engine, but I am curious just the...

Door window mod, Has anyone done this?

I did a little searching on the subject and found that it seems to be more of a chevy thing. The vent windows in the late 50s chevys seem to be more rectangle than triangle, so the window does not have to move forward when it comes down. I think when I get to this point, I will try to replace...

Door window mod, Has anyone done this?

It has been quite a while since I have heard about this, but somewhere I heard of people taking out the vent windows in the doors and replacing the whole window with one solid piece that covers the whole opening. I hope that makes sense. I think they called it a "California Window" or something...

New guy here - Rich Kinsley Omaha, NE '64 Dodge 4dr LeRoar

Rich, glad to see you are still going strong. I don't know if you remember me from the email list, but this is Dooner. I thought I was going to have to get rid of my '64 Belvedere 4dr, but I lucked out and was able to keep it. It's been down for about 3 years now, but I am determined to have a...

    Pertonix won't fit!

Guys, could I be more stupid. ArtH, you da MAN! You put my head right where it needed to be. My main problem was the stopped up muffler. Once that was off, the engine could exhale. But then one of the simplest things was getting past me. And the bad thing, it happened before when I first...

    Pertonix won't fit!

Thanks guys. I will try to work on it some this weekend, but it is supposed to get pretty cold here in Texas. We will see how that works out for me. And I know this is stupid, but want to make double sure that I am on the number 1 Piston. It is on the passenger side of the Poly 318, right?

Freshly painted 64 gunmetal grey matte

Wow, you just scuffed the bumpers and painted right over the chrome? I didn't know you could do that. Great job, and sweet car. And I'm guessing you left all the trim pieces in place and painted over them? I thought about leaving the side trim off my Belvedere, and have it painted on instead...

    Whimsical Interiors-Does anyone have one?

It wasn't sarcasm. Just want to bring out these people that you say "who change things up", and get some photos going. I don't care if someone wants it totally factory stock, there has to be someone out there that decided to go a little different, and I would like to see it. But thanks for...

    Whimsical Interiors-Does anyone have one?

I guess everyone is too serious about there Mopars to have custom interiors that don't look like factory stock. One of these days, when I get that far in my build (hope to be done on my 50th b-day), I will show you some resto-mod interior. Till then, you'll just have to sit on the edge of your...

    Pertonix won't fit!

Art, I used the stock coil on mine. How do I check if the coil is burned out? Do I just replace it and see? I had a little time to work with the car. I noticed that my muffler was blown out like a balloon, so I went ahead and cut it off. I'm going to replace the small diameter single exhaust...

    Adjusting ride height

I need to know, is all this good info good for all B bodies in the 62-65 range? I looked for the offset bushings to fit my '64 Belvedere, and it showed 65 and up. Do I need those offset bushings to acheive the +2 to +3 degrees camber? And will it matter that it is a 4 door? I wouldn't think so...

Freshly painted 64 gunmetal grey matte

That is the second classic Mopar that I have seen with the bumpers painted the same as the body. The other was a blue. I'm kinda liking the look. It kind of brings the old classic to the future (the way cars are done now with little to no chrome). I'm digging the style. What did it take to prep...

    Dist fit LA318 to Poly318

Doesn't the factory stock unit use a gasket to seal around the distributor to the block, and the newer units use an O ring? At least that is what I had, and the newer unit was real hard to get down in there with the O ring. Once in there, it worked fine. I think it is still hard to turn when timing.

    Pertonix won't fit!

My bad! Sorry guys. I got the Ignitor II. And I used a new stock coil. I'm just going to stick with what I know and trust. I've used the Mallory Unilite a few times and never had a problem. I love them. Still hadn't had time to work on my car yet. Hopefully this next week.

    Pertonix won't fit!

OK. That's cool. I have the Pertronix III module that I put in the distributor. I installed it bypassing the ballast, and gave my engine a good tune up (all new ignition everything). Left the house and she was running so sweet and smooth. Got ten miles down the highway at 60 mph, and POW out of...

    Pertonix won't fit!

I don't know if you should bypass the ballast. My directions showed to bypass it, but then read another set of directions, and heard from another guy not to bypass it. Just make sure before you use it too much. I took mine off, and when I have time, I will put the points back in to see if my...

    64 Belve' trim question

Going by what my Belvedere has on it and what the dealer brochure shows in the pics, the Belvedere has the trim with "PLYMOUTH" stamped in it. The Fury, Sport Fury, and Savoy have the thin strip across, with the Savoy having "PLYMOUTH" lettering above it, and the Fury and Sport fury have a fancy...
