my first coronet had a 318 and I loved it and played dukes of hazard behind the airport all through high school with it. We beat it, trashed it, slammed it and it kept going. My second coronet had one too and I took it apart in the back yard on a whim and re-assembled it She ran well also. Now...
I just went through this hassel as well but I found out not all the starters are interchangeable. I will give you a for instance.
My 67 b body takes a uni 244 1044 from Napa and my 66 valiant does not.
2 different engines the 66 has a 225 and the Belvedere II has a 273.
I did a lot of research...
I had a cheap winter beater the 66 valiant but I have to sell it. I can't bring myself to sell the mopar to buy a cavalier or some such nonsense. I can only keep 1 car, it sucks but that is the best I can do.
I don't really want to go the performance route yet as I have just a stock b-body 4 door. I have ordered stuff from jegs and summit and jc whitney too. I just like the old reliable stock go for groceries in the coolest ride in the walmart parking lot. I hope to start a more sport oriented build...
Hey all I am from Alberta but I now live in Aylmer Quebec.......Weird. I get most of my parts from Napa no hassels at all, and there are a few real good boneyards whithin an hours drive. If i can't get it there I go rock auto and bite it on the shipping, but if I order on Monday the part...
I am sorry it seems so confusing, I only have 2 cars and I have to sell 1. Now I have no choice but to drive Barney which is in storage for the winter. I now have to wait until spring to buy a 1968 charger I found in a storage locker that is not being released until spring.
I was trying to be...
Well the unemployment is starting to hurt, a lot.
I have to split my fleet and sell my winter car our
1966 Valiant. That's not the worst news now I have
to winterise my belvedere II and drive it in the
salt and snow. I have no choice, now I will have to
look for a new summer car, preferably a...
I really do.
Unfortunately all I have is my 2-4 door mopars.
1966 Valiant winter car.
1967 Belvedere II
The real problem is that I can't find one around here and I CAN'T part with my Mopars, and I have no cash as I am unemployed.
If I did find one I could afford I Know it would be rough for 1...
I could have bought a newer car than my 66 for my winter car.
I could have bought a nice 10 year old cavalier or acclaim or mini van.
I didn't, I found a beat up old Plymouth, Put a minimal amount of cash in parts, and some TLC, into a car made to last not the new made to bust crap.
What kind...
This is my winter car. It may in the spring be much rougher what with salt and snow.
As a matter of fact it may be done in spring.
I found it on a very nice mopar fanatics front lawn, he had no time and cash to fix it.
I took it home and put a lot of time and tlc into it.
Car $1200 invested...
Barney was in Plymouth heaven parked behind a 68 roadrunner that was mint and next to a gtx also mint but the owner had no room in the garage for it. these are pics from Kijijji ad
Hey Jim I am in the same boat I was laid off in September. I have been able to buy an old valiant and fix it up since then and have been able to get through the to do list on the house as well. Keep yourself busy and dedicate at least 2 hours a day for job searching, don't settle for anything...
I recently discovered in my region that you can buy a super cool classic car for cheaper than a used Kia. Then I found out that you can buy parts for cheaper than a Hyundai. Why didn't anyone tell me this before? I now have a super cool belvedere and the coolest winter car ever.
Why?
Hey just found this forum and I will be back a lot.
I have a museum quality 1967 belvedere 2.
18000 original miles
A mint condition 273 powers a 727 auto trans.
Barney as we call him is a rare 4 door find.
He was bought in Nova Scotia in 1967 and somehow after 15000 miles was put into a...
