devils advocate: there's no way of measuring how many of those ~375 (don't know about the validity of the number) where rotting or going to rot or be crushed or demolition derbied, wrecked, turned into El-charg-eros (elcomino/ranchero), or some other stupid **** had the TV show not prompted all the clones that followed and continue to follow, not to mention the restorations of countless others as well as the rest of the B bodies that were saved because someone was inpired to became a Mopar or car fan in general.

yeah, there may not be as many parts out there if it wasn't for the Dukes. And I'm sure many were rotters that were parts cars and such.

The flag means basically more independence, less government. It didn't mean racism, it didn't mean slavery, it didn't mean any of that.It basically meant what they were fighting for was their right to be independent and not have the government control them.

You know it and I know it. a lot of other people don't though.

THANK YOU!!!!, that show alone destroyed over 300 68-70 Chargers. I know the people here in Los Angeles that did the cars for the show, you can go to one of their storage yards and still see stacks of roofs and a bunch of doors from some of the General Lees that were scrapped, I was there a few years back and saw Vector wheels off of the Chargers that were broken in a jump/stunt...still lying on the ground with a Warner Bros. serial number stamped on them.
ok, ill be the first...

to quote Elwood Blues, after Jake Blues asked him, "why did you, my brother of all people, pick me up in a cop car ??", {Elwood responds} "they were almost giving them away, it's got it's a cop motor, cop tires, cop brakes, it's a cop car & good pick up" as he jumps over the draw bridge or something like that, I just watched that last night...LOL...

The worst waste that I heard of was a 70 TA Challenger without the motor and 10,000 miles on odometer 1/4 mile at a time and had been sitting outside for over 20 years and did not want to sell.

Great movie. I watched a documentary on the making of it. The scene where they are rolling through chicago under the El track and the speedo is hanging at 120, they were really doing it.

So who would waste a charger as a tow vehicle.......

All I can say is that the F@cking rednecks have raped almost as many classic Mopars as the F@cking president has raped American citizens.

I've had a 70 Road Runner for 32 years that I ain't planning to sell and it's rough. I haven't restored it yet and I may never get it done but I want to and hopefully I will but just because I didn't get it done for the last 10, 15, or 20 years doesn't mean I have less right to it than someone else does who may have the means, time, and tools to do it now.

If you saw my car you may well say the same about me and my car but I'm still keeping it and planning on doing it. Life just got in the way so far. There are plenty of cars that are for sale.

My grandfathers Coronet was outside most all of its life, either in the car shed when it was running or parked in a shed behind the barn. It does not have any major rust issues that I have seen. It is now parked in my garage and collecting parts or time to work on it again. My daughter while in high school helped pull the engine out.

The Challenger I talked about was going fast back to nature.

This is my winter car. It may in the spring be much rougher what with salt and snow.
As a matter of fact it may be done in spring.
I found it on a very nice mopar fanatics front lawn, he had no time and cash to fix it.
I took it home and put a lot of time and tlc into it.
Car $1200 invested $1400 and about 200 hours.
If in the spring it is done I will put my Belvedere2 back on the road and if my wife lets me redo the old valiant.
If not I can sell it for $3000 make a profit and still would have saved another cool mopar.

And save up for a 1968 coronet station wagon.

Why not.

Dear FBBO,
I am experiencing a strange drive line vibration, I don't understand why. It was fine before I rebuilt my car. The U joints seem to be fine, as well as the yoke on the transmission.
Do you think it could be the Rear end ? I hope not because I really don't have the funds to go into it.
