    If the breather gets plugged, it can create pressure which can force oil out the axle seals. I've seen some that get plugged due to oil vapor and dust collecting in them. It can easily be cleaned if necessary.

    Sometimes, if some spark plug wires are too close together, they can crossfire and create pinging.

    If the center electrode broke off, did you find the broken piece inside? Maybe it fell down inside by the weights and is goofing things up.

    You could check all the plugs wires and get an idea of the resistance. If one wire is waaay different than the others, it could be bad. If they're all about the same, look for something else.
