Pull out by hand
I squirted a little WD40 in, let that set for about 15 minutes and pulled them out pretty easy. Mine are 69 RR and has a two piece rod. The end with the mounting bracket cam out by hand. I used vicegrips on the other end after removing the rubber tip.
I believe I figured out how to mount the brackets and bushings from Energy Solutions. It probably seems obvious when you look at the attached picture but it wasn't to me.

Thanks for the information. I'm having trouble installing a fan shroud and suspect the fan is not correct. From what I found, the 2863224 fan is 18" which helps.
I'm having some cooling problems with my 69 Roadrunner 383 and suspect it does not have the right fan.
Can anyone tell me what the diameter and number of blades should be on the stock fan?
