For me, from the time I bought my RR at 15 I grew up paying my own bills so burnouts were a non-starter. I did however routinely practice launches so when the time came to do a little unofficial late night racing I had it down cold.
My vote would be for a 8.75 as well. For a similar HP/TQ I'm beefing up mine with HD (thicker) axles and stronger carrier housing from Dr Diff. Check them out here: Quality Body Shop Drivetrain Also, make sure you're getting the correct 8.75, E Bodies & 71 and later B Bodies were wider and...
The wife drove a 69 Mach 1 when we were dating in high school, would love to have kept that. We've both owned several Mustangs through the years, we picked this one up for her a few months back, fantastic car:
Good stuff, thanks for sharing. So it looks like HD or Severe Duty clutches operate up to 90% water pump speed so pretty close. It talks about fan pitch, anyone have any info on the angle for most 60's 70's Mopar fans? Thx
Reviving this thread, a couple of questions about clutch vs solid fans. Do the Hemi/440-6 Torque Clutch aluminum fans move as much air as a fixed steel solid fan? If so, is there an aftermarket equivalent to the Mopar clutch? I thought I read somewhere that there is a specific part number...
If Craig can't help you, a lot of us use Rock Auto. I actually bought most of mine at NAPA back when their parts were U.S. sourced, I've heard that's not the case any more...
Another 70 Roadrunner owner here in Central Florida, Welcome! It's not my car, but if it was I'd tone down the motor a bit, maybe so a regular or modified hood would fit, get the interior looking a little more stock and leave that beautiful rear end just as it is!
Minus the graphics, I really dig that car especially in that color! Ignore the marketing and concentrate on the car and at least some of us think it's pretty (Petty?) awesome.
I've read before (possibly here) that if one wanted to go to a 'radial friendly' somewhat performance front geometry, to use a 90's or 00's Mustang's specs. Can anyone confirm which year they were referring to?
Reading this thread with great interest, Thx
Prayers sent for a successful upcoming surgery! Sounds very major like mine would have to be if they even tried to fix more than one of my many ailments. I put off restoring my bird and now my body may not get her done but I'm going to try with major help along the way. Stay positive, protect...
Beautiful Porsche, I'm taking it you like it much better than the Z06? While I was a C5 owner I drove a new non-Z06 C6 and liked it a little better than mine, but little was the operative word so didn't trade. REALLY wish I had held onto my six speed all black C5, what I could have done to...
