13k miles. 6 speed. Original tires and battery. Thought I noticed a buck on Freeway, then stopped in Dixon after 100 mile drive. Lights went on, first time ever. Noticed a click in steering wheel turning left. Car runs and drives. Youtube and internet search suggests things all over the map. Manual says turn wheel right then left, and could be low battery. Car starts quickly and no other battery symptoms. Also sensor behind left front wheel. Also, that Dealers struggle to diagnose or repair this without emptying wallets. Advice.

Advice, just leave it, it’ll go away. Mine been going on and off for years. Seems like it only happens when it’s hot outside and I’m stopped while the car is in drive.

Thinking about it more I haven’t seen the lights on In my SRT in a while, new battery last year maybe that helped. If yours is original it’s probably time for a change.

My first thought would be get the diagnostic code(s) yourself and then search the internet for possible causes(if you have a scan tool, I know they can be pricey). Probably a sensor issue with that few miles.

The warning lights tell you the system recognized a fault in the sysyem. It's pointless asking for suggestions without finding out what codes are stored first. As others stated, first suggestion is to have it scanned for trouble codes. Second is to have your battery tested, as a weak battery can cause other systems to malfunction.
Do said there was a click in steering column turning left but did not say if that was one time or if it keeps making the noise on turns. There is steering angle sensor in the column that it uses for the ESP (stability) system. Trouble codes could possibly lead to that sensor.

Click was one time. Wheel-turns got light out for brief periods.

Local O’Reilly in Sacramento on Bradshaw at 50 scanned it for me. Said it is a stored code.
Steering angle sensor. Internal. C2205. We played around with it. He says pull it out when we get home and spray with cleaner. Left front wheel area.

353 mile round trip

353 miles roundtrip to Sacramento, light went off and stayed off on the way home. Gonna have the battery load checked and call it a day. Tires look like hell though. Dry rot cracks in tread grooves too. 21.5 mpg even with stopped traffic on 50 (jumper from overpass) 80 east stopped at 68.

Those pesky codes...once they detect something they stay in the computer's memory. The light will go out but usually come back on again some time later, just as a reminder that the car is watching you....lol have the code cleared and see if it triggers again

Tried a youtube fix, torx 30 and adjust column sleeve. No fix. Internet research says everything from internal wheel angle sensor to clock spring. Thinking about trying to tie the Takata airbag recall with it to save labor. Worst example I read was a guy who had the same code when picking up his new 10 R/T. Dealer NEVER DID figure it out. Chrysler bought it back. The Dealers are incompetent.

Tech at Valaya Racing says it is the Clock Spring. Says it failed, then got involved with the steering angle sensor nearby in the column and took it out during a left turn. Something inside looked slightly charred. Says the part has a Mercedes Star on it. 09 was post Benz era. LLC. Lights and codes have cleared.

This will be the first time that you have missed a show in Van Nuys in quite awhile, huh ??

Fixed. The clock spring had a physical broken tab, and a singed connector. Other componenet pictured is the wheel position sensor that is also mounted in the steering wheel center area. Spring has a Mercedes Star on it. Finally got rid of the skip shift too. Changed out original coolant.

Glad you got it nailed..so what is 'skip shift'?

A brilliant idea that forces the modern version of the Pistol Grip shifter in the 6 speed tremec manual to go directly to 4th gear from 1st if you take revs up a little while in 1st. This to save fuel. Like others, I bought a Hemi V8 with tracpac TO SAVE FUEL!

Okaaaay...sounds lame! I would have eliminated that too.
