1963 Dodge 440 / 2008 Dodge VIper custom build. The VIper Bee

Everyone has there own tastes. The modern thing....like Foose and the like.........doesn't do much for me. I appreciate the work and skill, but most of it is too "artsy" for my taste. I want a driver that I can beat on and not break down while still looking a lot like what it is ( a 60's car) and not costing me much more than $50K....and the pride of having done almost all of it myself.

Hell......I'm not even big on using modern wheels LoL

Looks great, are you maintaining the Body control modules from the viper? I have contacts at Arrow Racing that offer a standalone ECM and harness for Gen 3 and Gen 4 V10's.

After the car is to the point where is can drive I will address the computer issues. If I get it to run and drive properly.........even with the PCM throwing body codes.......it will prob sty that way a while until I save up for upgrades and dyno tuning. I have a place close to go to for all that.

Since my motor is so far back and a bit high....I was considering making mounts that bolt to the rails vs part of the K member. This way I could drop the K and not have the motor on it if I wanted or needed to do so. By having mounts bolted to the rails I would be able to remove motor from the top alone...or bottom even with trans attached.

Any input appreciated.

Did u google the car for pics of the whole thing? It is pretty, too bad there's a 2009 Corvette underneath.
I don't know, this one gives me a chubby!

Watching this thread! I know the modern paint treatment isn't for everyone, and as others have said, it's your car so you have to do what you like. I like the old school too, it just depends on the type of car, what lines and trim it has.

Fellow 63 owner (330). Can't wait for you to start back up. Factory color.
