1964 Dodge 440 power to manual brake conversion

Greetings I am about to change from power to manual brakes on my car because I need room to install my max wedge manifolds. I bought a manual brake pushrod and new master cylinder. Is there a different firewall reinforcement plate needed? Anything else I will need?

The firewall bracket is different but could be modified to work. The brake peddle arm is longer and mounts higher on the PB cars that I have taken parts off of
You might have to find a different one.
 
Mr S, not trying to sway your plans, but have you considered running headers instead ? I installed the MW exhaust manifolds, and they look, and work awesome, except for the heat factor. I can literally throw a raw chicken on mine, and eat it when I get to where I'm going. They really hold the heat for quite some time also, so the hood needs to come up upon arrival. I had mine coated, to avoid painting, so that may have something to do with it, along with the build specs ? For a driver, I would do mine differently again...

watching.... doing the same thing to my 62. i have a non power car to rob parts from but its a stick. can i just redrill the hole in the arm to relocate so i can keep the auto peddle?
 
Some of the brake peddle arms had 2 holes drilled at factory. The peddle height can change a lot also.
 
I put the manual pedal in and modified the firewall plate.

Look at your arm HS, you should see a hole about 1" below the current hole.
 
I have had 3 64 fury with factory PB and they had a longer brake peddle arm and it hung higher with a different bracket that did not allow enough room to remove the brake peddle arm. The complete bracket had to be removed to change to a different arm.
