1967 Coronet Deluxe

Kevin i hope you get to meet a lot from here as i know there is no way i could come but i do hope you have some great fun, please take photos it really sounds like a cool outing, i hope you win an award with your long duration resto beauty if they have them bud!!!

Well I ordered the new input shaft seal last night. A whopping $4.55 worth of part but a whole lot of headache to come! We'll see how things go this week maybe I'll get started on it sooner than later if the wife is on board.

By the way anybody in NE Wisconsin, if interested our church is having a bbq and car show here in Luxemburg on the 25th. I plan to bring the car and if any of you is interested in coming I'd make sure to hang out and BS.

Mannn....wish I could!! Friggin work has me traveling around like a friggin gypsy! Hope the show goes well for you.

Good luck with that seal. Always burns a little more when a couple dollar part costs you more time/effort than than parts 10X's the size/cost.

Thanks prop, We'll get together one o' these days.

I managed to dig into the seal avenue a little further. So what I found is that its not the input seal leaking. I am getting some seepage from the oil pan which is traveling down the structural dust cover and appearing to come from the bell housing. I pulled the dust cover and looked, the clutch, flywheel and rear main seal are all perfectly dry. So it looks like my attempts to use the stock windage tray with the milodon pan were at fault. So for now I tightened the bolts up a bit more and will put it back together. Knowing that it's not fouling the clutch is a very good thing.

I think I need to do some more heat proofing on my clutch slave cylinder to hopefully help prevent the fade when warm....so I think this is most of my problem and my heat shield I made did help.

So while I have the whole exhaust out and on the ground I will take the opportunity to seal weld the h-pipe in places i was unable to get fully welded while it was in the car :D

I feel yer pain dude, i have the same welder and a one car garage. Not a lot of fancy tools and equipment either. Fortunately these cars can be dismantled and remantled with a couple of screwdrivers and a vise grips. Im at the point where I'm about ready to pull the engine and tranny.

Best wishes. It can be a challenge. Now that I've got a garage I've got no money....go figure.

your car looks sharp kb. most def a sleeper look. i got the hemi badges on mine an everyone ask me 318 or 383. only the mopar guys an girls can appreciate it.lol

Well I started re-upholstering the door panels this weekend. I found some nice fabric that matches pretty good at the local store and just did the drivers side door panel. I will take a pic or two once its in the car. I won't look original but since when has original been my style? Anyway, for those of you playing along that is a pretty good hint that I'll probably be keeping the car...since nobody has bit the bullet and threw an offer at me and I'd rather keep it. It will mean some creative accounting for a while but we'll make it work.

Now I just need to wait til spring to lay the new carpet. Then the headliner after that...not sure how the heck to do a headliner...anybody wanna come put one in?!

KB67Mopar . . . the panels look great ! ! Nicely done ! !

I found the best way to take care of the headliner . . . is to buy a convertible . . . ( SMILE )

Need help with trying to get that in there . . . I'd be happy to make a trip and help you out with that install ! ! ! ( dang - you're a long way away from me ! ! )

Pretty cool bud! I do like Khans ideas on a headliner as when that time comes, i sure hope i know how to use the search engine option here to read and study about past adventures with them!! Yep, im a bit timid myself with them!! :) a man that says hes never afraid is a fool, or a very good car builder! lol

Froze myself in the garage a bit today to make an intake tube. I had wanted to do this for a while to properly route my crankcase vent and intake air temperature sensor. So I took some free tubing I got from work (no I didn't steal it) and a few other parts I had laying around and came up with this.
