1968 Plymouth GTX

Someone on the SPI website mentioned a guy who sells Mopar Parts and might have the moldings I need. His name is John Forkey (?) Does anybody know him or his business name that I might contact him?

Do these look correct?

My first impression is yes... Can you try fitting them to the car? Or gotta buy it to try it? Hard item to find... But not a lot of people need them either...

Can you get a few measurements? Length & width... The Dodge ones are about 1/2" longer....

I was told that they are definitely for my car but like you said, have to buy it to try it.
I'll talk to him again tomorrow.
Interesting but I did wonder if I could adapt the Dodge ones to fit if needed?

When there's a need I get the impression your capable of doing what needs to be done..

They really do. Hard to tell by appearance if they're correct, though.
Will measure my 69 if that will help. LMK.

Came across some oddballs on ebay for a coronet coupe the other day.
I can't remember the last time, or if ever, I've seen a coupe with that beltline trim.

Maybe they were more popular on the west coast... My 69 Roadrunner Coupe had them to... In fact I've owned five 68-70 B bodies & they all have had them...

I really love the look, personally.

Here in the Detroit area, I remember G. Rollins/ RTS warehouse usually had some on hand for sale, all the time
as far back as the 80s. I think they were pretty popular around here too, but the trim outlasted the rest of the car in most cases :)

Spoke with the guy who actually test fit them to a 1968 GTX.
Went ahead and ordered them so now it's wait and see.

Didn't want to take the chance of missing out on a decent looking set of moldings.

I am having trouble finding chrome door lock knobs that fit my car.

Gone through two sets that claimed to be for it but they are too large in diameter. Most don't give a detailed measurements of the knobs, so I am forced to go by description and pictures.

I have one of the original (?) knobs that came with the car and it measures 5/16" in diameter about 3/4 of the way up and only has a very slight taper to it.

I use to grab OE knobs from the rear doors of four door cars in the wrecking yards... Rear door knobs rarely get used..

What do they call this part?
Original Glovebox Latch.jpg

It is the catch for the glove box that came with my car, yet when I try to search for one nothing comes up. I tried using the term "striker" as well but still nothing comes up looking like this.

I call it a striker or latch.

Mine has this one

Friggin PITA it was to adjust so it wouldn't pop open the door every time I hit a bump.

This looks right, but mine was missing and what I bought as “original” didn’t work. That one was more like a screen door latch.
