1968 Plymouth GTX

O.K., that is the edge of the roof insulation and what you see around the spikes is 3M headliner glue! Looks dull and Matt.

I don't have anything like that on my car. Do I need to purchase some?
Another question is concerning Sail Panels. My car is was built in October 1967 and from what I have been reading on here, the 1968 GTXs didn't come with sail panels until later in the production cycle. Can anyone verify that this is correct?

So nobody knows for sure? I even sent two emails asking Legendary about this and got the same response - silence.

My 1968 Service Manual doesn't mention them at all when giving headliner installation instructions, so I am going to assume I don't need the sail panels.

Also, when looking to purchase headliner and interior supplies, my thinking is that Legendary products are made in the USA where OER are not. Any thoughts on this?

FYI. Legendary did call me today and confirmed that my car did not have sail panels.

Thanks. Any more pictures of your interior headliner trim? Seeing that one above already gave me some help.

If you need any more, lemme know....take em for what they are worth. Reckon it's been re-done at some point, but I've been told it is pretty close to stock.

Note the cig burn on the back of the dome light. Not stock LOL

Thank you very much, this helps a lot. Can you post a picture of where the side trim connects at the front?

Baby Blue's original interior was the same, with one difference. That piece of plastic trim surrounding the rear window was light blue, and was pretty sun damaged. When I got the car back years later, it also had the black surround, that was the only color available at the time, which may still be the case.

Yes, I believe you are right about that. It does say they can be painted though.
