1969 Charger R/T resurrection

Looking great as usually Elk! Any idea when your wheels are gonna show up? What are you going to run for rear tire size again?

Just called Summit Friday as a matter of fact. Crager is still waiting for shipment of the center sections so they can build more wheels. Now they are saying end of March. 15x10 with 295/50/15 on the rears.

God that's one gorgeous Charger.. haha
The door internals are looking great and hopefully 747 can help you out with the vent window part, I have one but it's the only one I've got lol

So basically . . . H2E . . . Crager is helping to make sure that you don't get it done BEFORE Spring gets here . . . that's a bummer ! ! !

That's a bummer. The way I look at it the wheels and tires should be the last thing to go on. So you can have it all finished up then throw the rubber at it.
When I got my 15x10 cop wheels from Stockton it took 4 months. When the order was placed they told me 2 weeks.
Also running 295/50/15's, have you ordered those yet? When I was doing my wheel swap, I wanted BFG's but they were out of stock with no production date scheduled. Ended up getting Firestones.
By the way that was about 3 years ago.

I'm looking forward to seeing those big meats out back Elk .. gonna be sweet the first time you roast those big hides

Yeah, it is making me a little nervous. I am having visions of them continuing to delay the ship date. I think if it goes beyond mid April, I will change the order to some road wheels. I really want the Keystones, mostly because that is what I always ran as a kid.

You and me both!!

Elk what about another supplier, ebay, wheel vintique, coke tire, you would think there would be someone with comparable pricing.

I am having all 4 made with custom backspacing, so they have to be made at the Crager plant regardless.

I was hoping so but go figure I have an extra passenger side and my driver side extra is broken off and MIA (go figure).

I have to send out a big thank you to JussBob for the lightning quick shipping and fair price on the bracket I was in need of :icon_thumleft:. Got it welded on - with a couple of extra tacks just for good measure.

Also took Props advice with the RIT and white vinegar for the seat belts. Stirred the concoction around for awhile in a 5 gallon pail and now everything is the same color.

Hey H2E . . . That is the coolest looking drying rack ! ! I Love it ! !

The belts look like they turned out pretty well . . . I think I've also heard that salt water will keep them from bleeding out of the material. ( better double check )

They look bluish in the pictures for some reason, but they are definitely black. I'm satisfied with the outcome. Where did you hear about the saltwater keeping the color put? I thought that was the reason for using a dye. Not that it would ever bother me because all my clothes are stained/grungy already, but other people around here might not like getting black dye on nice light colored clothing.

LOL classic pic there Elk!

You like my dual purpose coat hanger? I guess this probably isn't one of the uses I had in mind when I made it lol.

Glad to see you got fixed up, great bunch of guys here. Cool fix for the seat belt coloring, unfortunetly for me with the self built 2013 title I have to put shoulder belts in mine.:icon_thumbdown:

Those seat belts look new again like everything else. A nice rack all ways has multiple use.lol

Hey were your seat belts already black? I have a tan set and was thinking about dyeing them. Hoe did you dye them. Your car looks great!

H2E . . . A couple years ago ( and I use the term "couple" very loosely ) when we made tie-dye t-shirts - it would help set the colors so they would not bleed so much into the adjacent colors on the t-shirts . . . but it might have been vinegar and salt . . . I'll be curious how that belt fabric ( nylon ? ) holds the dye . . . keep us posted.
