1969 Charger R/T resurrection

Works like a Charm! Nice Vid's. Regular Ol' National Geographic footage going on there. Lot better than my vid. Regardless, great to see your Charger ready to roll. It's been a long road for you. Have fun!

Very Nice video H2E . . . glad that everything went smoothly for you . . .

But you said "pretty good reflection in the paint" . . .
Dang, looks like you painted a mural of your house in the side of the car ! !

Glad to see you got 'er done, now get it aligned and have a blast with it this summer ! ! ! Great job ! ! !

Thanks for the video!!!!!!! That is one sweet Charger, shines like a brand new penny and sounds great too. Congrats on finally completing your nightmare, with any luck I'll be a week behind you (fingures crossed). Any chance of seeing it at the Nats???? Really wanting to get some of us together this year at the Nats so we can finally meet, trade stories and check out your cars. Enjoy

Just last week we were talking about getting back to that show. We have so many things going on this summer, I don't think it will happen this year. I will definitely let you know if plans change though. Its a 12 hour drive each way for us - sure wish it was closer.

Cool video Joel and your Road Runner and that Charger looks fantastic, i hope you find the Super Bee, that would be 3 great cars to own and enjoy!!!

I dont know if you noticed but its quit ironic that you posted the final pics on your 69 page off your thread that has to be a omen on the restro from hell i just had to look again at that master piece.

Didn't realize that until you mentioned it. That is sort of creepy though lol. I wonder what it means? Good, bad, Mopar Gods are trying to tell me something?

That's really COOL . . . good catch on that ChargerSteven ! ! !

I look back at what I started with and keep thinking that I must have had my beer goggles on the day I pulled the trigger on this one LOL. I looked for 2 years trying to find a 440 4-speed car to restore, and this is the best I could do? Oh well, it is about done now. I learned a lot and got to know a bunch of great guys on this site.
On another note, the alignment went well and was quite popular at the local Chrysler dealership where it was done. My Grandpa started the dealership in the early 50's and I still do all the HVAC work there for the current owners, so all the guys there have known about this project and have been waiting to see it. I put about 30 miles on it yesterday afternoon. For some reason I was getting some pinging with 91 octane gas - which was the same as used during the dyno with no issues. I'm sure it was bought at a different station though, so I will call the builder next week to get his thoughts on that. In the meantime, I added a couple gallons of 112 octane to the 91 and lost the pinging. I've also got a rough clutch pedal so will take the z-bar out and check everything over today.

Hard work really pays off and the kid has a real future as a body man. The Charger came out incredibly beautiful and good call on buffing it out, the paint looks flawless. I hope mine turns out half as good.

It does have quite the reflective surface. So much that it is a struggle getting a decent picture without a bunch of extra stuff in the shot.
