1969 Road Runner facelift

Nice gun...now get to sprayin'! ha ha ha

We use the 3M cups and liners at work. I would like to use them at home but they are kind of spendy.

Dave everything looks great. I can't wait till my Coronet gets to this stage.

Been working on this hood since sunday (time permitting).

It's in it's final coat of surfacing primer and it should block out nicely for me tonight with 400 grit.

That's the last big piece of the puzzle, the G'damn hood.

I am certain that my hood was used as a dukes of hazard training tool for practicing the duke boys hood slide.

It has not been an easy hood to work with.

Guys, I'm not gonna make the June 1st show in farmington. :(

Even if I could get the car ready, I'd be scratchin for gas money to get down there after all the last minute project purchases.

But we do have a local show the following weekend, I'm not letting up on the pace.

Good choice Dave.....Easy enough to skip some steps or not fine tune your work to get the bird out the door. Well done on making the decision to put quality and dedication over making a deadline. I'm sure the results will speak for themselves. :icon_thumright:

That's to bad about not being able to get to Mopars in the Park. It is a great show, but there is no sense rushing your project and possibly cutting corners to make it happen. I'll plan on seeing the tin chicken next year.

Yep no sense rushing the project. You can make it next year, you'd like to have some "reliability" miles on it be for the trip anyway.

I'm finally going to run air lines in my shop and hang my 3 stage air cleaner/dryer in the paint booth today.
