I remember the 2 black ones but not the yellow one. These 6BBL GT cars are in leagues all their own.Dan had two black ones and a yellow one if I remember correctly.

Thank you VERY much for posting that!
Well, one of them are the ones that posted the video in the public domain.Thank you VERY much for posting that!(I hope Tom and the owner don’t mind)
So YOU were the one who had that car, I was trying to remember who had it. That was a stunning car once it was restored, I loved it (and still do!!) I remember it was in the official Mopar calendar a few years ago.I had a Sport Fury GT back in 2019 (not a V code though). Cool car, pretty rare - only 666 built.

Why?I don't know that I would put a lot of stock in what Tom has to say.
Yes but that one was a 4bbl car.IIRC there was an original white one here. One owner car that went south of the border about 20 years ago. He had passed on, family sold it. It had the radio microphone in it.
My 70 sport fury with manual lock/windows ac, 383/727 weighed 4000lbs. Not that much heavier than a b body with some options. Heavier than a stripped down a12 car, sure.Interesting option. But probably not that impressive acceleration. I imagine a built 383 road runner 4 speed would take it. As well as a 340 A body. “No replacement for displacement”… except less weight.
I bet about 500 lbs. heavier. I had a bunch of ‘68-‘70 C and D bodies back in the 80’s. Newport, Fury, New Yorker, and Imperial. None of them really impressed me with their acceleration. The power just seemed adequate. My Six Pack 3.54 4 speed Charger weighed about 4000lbs. and by ‘88 the 5.0’s were quicker. I’m not sure who the customer would have been for those 6 bbl. Furys. AC wasn’t available, and every one of the C bodies I had and saw in the junkyards had AC up here in the northeast. My 70 sport fury with manual lock/windows ac, 383/727 weighed 4000lbs.
