Nope just mud!As long as you didn’t weld it shut.
Travis..
Just ordered a lock cylinder link rod set. Was hoping to get a factory part but hopefully the reproductions will work ok. I only need the left side.
I am certainly no glass expert, but can't you file it down so it won't spread?Clips are all in but I found a chip on the edge of the glass.
No the chip is about the size of a quarter. I spoke to a glass guy with 30 years of experience. The glass needs to be annealed before you can safely do anything machining to it. Otherwise it can be a point of failure later when stressed. Annealing is not cost effective. Since I’m putting this in a restoration ie fresh opening, I want to do this right and not have any extra work later in the future.I am certainly no glass expert, but can't you file it down so it won't spread?

Yup it is. It’s adding up fast too. Prices are skyrocketing. This is an expensive hobby no doubt. But I’ve learned and have accomplished so much and am enjoying the process. The end is in site and Im on the last stretch!
That sucks. Sorry to hear it. These are the trials and tribulations of building a classic car...
