Can’t seem to locate the drivers lock cylinder link rod. Anyone have one of these that I can buy from you?

So the right hand rule in electromagnetic’s isn’t intuitive and neither is the door striker to rotator lock adjustment. My door was sticking out when fully engaged but was sticking out a full 1/2 inch from the rear quarter.

I finally adjusted it (with no help from the FSM) by moving the striker up! Wasn’t intuitive.

So just remember the Mopar Left Hand Rule in this adjustment.

Insulating the doors. I am using a self adhesive backed sound and thermal insulation barrier with foil backing. It’s about 3/8” or more thick. I’ve decided to add a couple of coats on contact cement to the door after thoroughly washing and scrubbing it. This is to make sure it sticks and stays for a long time.

Getting ready to install my windshield. Clips are all in but I found a chip on the edge of the glass. This weakens the whole structure and is no good. So I need to get new glass and a nee gasket as well. While I wait for to order and receive that I will move onto the front end light harness, headlights grill and bumper. This will be slow detailed work. Some of the grill components need TLC and paint.
Ignore those maroon seats as I am awaiting my Legendary seat covers and interior set..

I am certainly no glass expert, but can't you file it down so it won't spread?
No the chip is about the size of a quarter. I spoke to a glass guy with 30 years of experience. The glass needs to be annealed before you can safely do anything machining to it. Otherwise it can be a point of failure later when stressed. Annealing is not cost effective. Since I’m putting this in a restoration ie fresh opening, I want to do this right and not have any extra work later in the future.

:(
That sucks. Sorry to hear it. These are the trials and tribulations of building a classic car...

Yup it is. It’s adding up fast too. Prices are skyrocketing. This is an expensive hobby no doubt. But I’ve learned and have accomplished so much and am enjoying the process. The end is in site and Im on the last stretch!

One bit at a time. Front marker wire harness.

Starting to gather all the bits for the door windows as the quarters were done some time ago now. This I am not looking forward to. It’s the kind of job where after you do it once no big deal but after 3 plus years of being disassembled and needing various plastic parts (not all purchased yet) I am apprehensive.

Headlight mounting bracket/bucket. I found all my original hardware after being off the car for 4 years. Everything was bagged and tagged. But still surprised. Decided NOT to block out the light bay with black paint like the factory. It just looks dirty to me.

One of my bulbs broke a contact. No idea if I can solder it successfully. Wish me luck.

I suppose 44 years of having a soldering iron in my hands helped make this so easy.
