Ok coronetRTguy,,,sorry I haven't writtin to you in pm,,but I did once and it wouldn't send threw and haven't tried again. But I figured I need to post my pics of the rattler on here,,maybe you'll reconize it. Didn't go to any shows last year with it as it needed to get things done to it and didn't feel like showing it,,,,all because I had waited a year to get the new stroker motor biult.View attachment 98473View attachment 98469View attachment 98470View attachment 98471View attachment 98472This is what the car looked like just before christmas,,am biulding it into a pro touring now and plan on having it done early spring.

Wow awesome ride man! I have not been to any of our local shows or any cars shows in a while but I hope to go to some. I really love the car and the paint work looks good together. I also would like to know more about the seats?

I saw another 73-74 RR in our area yesterday a blue one.

I will see if my pm box is full and clear it out. I'm also looking at starting a car club in our area I'm tired of all the ones you pay for and get only a news letter. I want to get back to the roots of our hobby.

Thanks for all the comments...YES it was alot of work,,did it all myself,,except for the paint,,I was there with the guy as it was painted. My painter had me lay out the panels,,which the green is emeral green and saddle panels painted to look like snake skin you can even feel the scales somewhat,,more so before I wet sanded it and buffed. I'm not all that savy with the computer,,and don't know much more than just basics...more of an old school type, not into all the tech stuff. Don't even have a cell phone..and I run a auto upholstery buisness. The seats are feiro and three sets of them,,they was used alot in streed rods and customs,,before teal design and other's started making seats,,they are comfortable. The car is all torn apart right now get the 472 stroker with 4 speed, a dana 410 rear on 4 link,,pinto type front supesion useing the stock spindle and willwood disc front and back, coil overs front and rear,,,new front tires are 29-12.50 15 on kestone classics 15x8 rear 15x10 with 29-12.50-15. had to narrow from frames to pull tires in 2 inches to clear,,if the wasn't a job,,but I'm a fabracator too so the was alot of thinking going on to just how to do it all..Like making my own parts as opose to buying premade. ALOT of enjoyment that way. Plus being able to say I did it myself. I have a biuld thread going on over at mopar pro touring which I need to update,,but I find more injoyment working on the car instead of sitting at the computer. I have been taking pictures of the biuld because I know everyone wants to see them..just have to take the time to post them. Micheal

Would you be willing to start a build thread here in the restoration forums. I have a 74 Charger I want to go Pro Touring and found tubular k frames are expensive. I have been researching on how to build one with no luck. Are you going to do a coil over conversion?

Ron, Not sure on the color yet, I like the orange or green. I have a ways to go before I get serious about paint. But I promise you guys will be the first to know!

I really dig the car and the seats. I'm looking for a project car or truck. I have a truck in WVA that was given to me that I may end up bringing it over if I dont find the right Mopar car. So I may need some interior work I got a wild idea for things and would like to do it on a 73-74 B body car. I wish that RR in our area wasnt 3k but it may be one I try to make a little more offer on.

I did find another one in Ruckersville for 3k and petty blue that Im calling about. If you can pm me 73Rattler would like to know more about your work and if you know of other Mopars in our area for sale.

Looks like a great start on a great project. What color green or orange are you thinking?

coronetrtguy,,just tried sending you a pm,,but for some reason it won't go threw..my shop is called Backstreet custom. old tired rebel, I know what you mean about the aftermarket k memebrs being expensive,,and they don't make one that I know of for the 73 and up . I am doing coil over suspensions,,using the factory 73 and up spindleand lower ball joint with the arm for the streering tie rod end, along with mustang type aftermarket a-arms. Bottom a-arms have to be modified to clear the mopar tie rod end. am biulding the upper coil over mounts now. guess I will start a thread on here of the biuld up...I like fabbing alot of the parts myself. I also have a 78 doadge monoco station wagon the is completely modified with a coil over front supension the I custom made all the a-arms for that one. Might have to put up a thread for that one too.

I wish I was closer to you so I could learn all this. I have started late in life doing this.

Rattler good deal man I will check you out and when I get a project done maybe we can do the interoir or some fab stuff. I really want a project right now to burn off some stress. I just like to turn a wrench a little I kind of miss it and wish I kept my 70 Coronet R/T.

I will try to pm you Rattler. Look at where you sign in it will show a messege just click on that and it will take you to it.

Both look great, I would lean towards the green i think if it were me and my car, I love how the color just pops!

I agree with you, it really stands out. I asked my wife if she wanted to put buckets in and she wants to keep the bench cause they dont make cars these days with a front bench. I thought that was pretty cool of her to say that.

I keep leaning towards the green used in 69 mostly on the 69 1/2 M code cars but it found its way on a few B bodies. I really like that color. If I do this truck I have thats the color I'm going with and red interior lol I think.

Great looking project car and yeah the bench seat rule!

Buckets and a buddy seat gives you the best of both worlds :)
