I love them. I bought them on ebay about a year ago, 100 of them and pliers. I have only broken one of the pins so far. Best of luck with the surgery!

I have a change of plans! Not too long ago (2016) I graduated from highschool, and started working in a bentonite plant, stacking bags of rocks. I did not like that!

Just a month or so ago, I put in my 2 weeks notice after working nearly a year stacking dirt bags. I just got accepted to tech school, where I will learn autobody and paint over 9 months - starting at the end of september. I have wanted to do this for a while now, and I'm finally getting around to doing so.

Unfortunately, I have to leave my Charger in storage, until I'm back from school. So progress will not resume until next summer or so. But this will be good in the long run, as I'll be able to do the paint myself and what not. And while I'm gone, hopefully more re-pop parts will come onto the market.

Good for you young man. Not only will that benefit you on your car but believe me there is a huge demand out there for customizing and restoration. In the Rapid City area alone there and dozens of shops and there all busy. Good Choice!

That is great news ,your car won't mind sitting a bit longer for a higher quality of work done to it in return! I always wanted to do that type of schooling paint and body would be nice to add to my skills list that will save a lot of money down the road

Well dumbass me didn't enroll in time so I guess school is waiting till year. In the meantime, i plan to work a part time job and work on the Charger.

In fact, i did quite a bit today. Test hung the quarter skin, and trying to figure out the best way to install. I also hung a door to ensure the gaps were decent.

However, I'm waiting for a new outer wheelhouse to ship before welding on the quarter skin. Speaking of sheet metal, I'll have to order a pair of trunk gutters from AMD soon.

After all is said and done, I'll trim the quarter skin and weld it all together.

Today I tightened down the skin to make slight style-line adjustments. Dont worry, I'm not gonna lap weld it. But I want to make sure everything will fit before I pull out the electric shears!

Yeah it's tabco. It's not bad, but certainly not AMD quality. I just have to work with what's available. It's stamped in the USA, how can I complain? Bodylines are pretty good, except the rear-upper one. It was about 1/4" low, and I had to stretch it up.

But before I can even get out the welder, I need to get my AMD trunk gutters and outer wheelhouse test fitted.

Alright guys, last week I did some work for some family and made some spare cash. As can be seen in previous photos, the driver's side outer wheelhouse is pretty beat up.

Long before I bought the car, I assume it was involved in a side collision that pushed in the quarter panel and wheelhouse.

Although the new quarter has been test fit, I want to take the time and spend money to make things right. Even though nobody will see the beat up wheelhouse, I'm replacing it to make the car "right". Do something right, or don't do it at all IMO. AMD part ordered from Summit... should arrive in a few days.

And when I can scrap up some more money I'll get both side's trunk gutters, a passenger lower quarter patch, and passenger side trunk extension. This will finish up all rear sheetmetal replacement on the rear of the car. I won't weld anything until all sheetmetal has been hung to ensure gaps are good, and frame rails measure within factory specs.

Oh and one more think I'd like to say... AMD lists many of these parts for the 71-2 Charger "only" but I have found they all fit the 73-4 model perfect, with the exception of one quarter panel support that had to be cut and bent slightly. If any of y'all want the info on the 71/2 parts fitting on a 73, I'll share the info.

Well today was pretty busy. I got a shipment of parts, one of which for the Charger.

There seems to be lots of confusion about parts fitment on 71-2 and 73-4 Cars. Although many parts for my car are listed for a 71-2 "only" they fit the 73-4 cars just fine, without modifications. A good example is my "71-2" wheelhouse, which appears and measures the same shape and size of my 73.

Gonna drill some spot welds sometime next week and test fit the piece, before getting out the welder.....

Unfortunately I can't weld in the quarter, until I can afford new trunk gutters...(and double check frame rail measurements)

Believe it or not, but I enjoy panel replacement and test fitting... when this car is finished.... I might get bored from not having much to do on it. Lucky for me it'll take a while.

I'm also really hoping that AMD will have their 71-4 Rallye hoods available soon...
