those headers look like they've never been used.

Indeed, some guys at carlisle were "giving stuff away" compaired to others

The headers are the coated ones too, and yup, never used and snagged um for $50 list is just under 400 geepers

This car is going to fight me to the bitter end i can see it now.
Ive got the headers in, they fit great, until i go to test fit the bellhousing and the mini starter, the bell fits fine, but the mini starter hits the #1cyl. Tube bad, the tube almost runs right through where the starter motor is going to be.... Very strange, these headers fit and worked in something else... Wonder what starter they used... Hummmm

Anyway started mocking up the shift linkage on the trans

Im pritty sure ill end up modifing the starter and the header to made the starter fit, because it hits the block and the header.. ughhh. Where the wiring connects to the starter that adapter hits the block, and the electric motor his the header tube

X-2 "Christmas around this place" Wouldn't it be nice just to be able to have these things hook up right, just once in awhile! The headers seem to always cause problems with starters on the BB anyway.. You would think the company's could make up some that eliminates these problems you hear of so often.. Good luck bud, you'll get it you've come a long way and already have done some great fab work!

Thanks Ron, i appriciate the kind words on the fab work. i took care of the starter problem last night, i fixed it. Haha, modified the header tube and took the wiring adapter off the starter. So now it doesnt hit the header and it doesnt hit the block. What a pain test fit everything 7 times before i was happy. That bell housing gets heavy after a while lifting it over your head
I can move forward again. Haha

great project. myfirst mopar was a '73 340 4 speed road runner. had a lot of good times in that car(with the blonde I was dating........)
and that '69 runner is beautiful(but I'm kinda partial to those)
and the Satallite is a great find(another six barrel hood meant for me:grin
