73/74 hood

I remember reading some place(im trying to locate the article)that Ma Mopar stopped stamping the vent holes in the rear of the hoods in mid production year 74 at the same time the strobe stripe going over the roof was also changed it went from having strobes to a solid stripe over the roof the article said that these changes were to reduce manufacturing costs

I never noticed a difference in the hoods so I went to check the one from a 74 RR I parted and crushed a few months ago and it has no gills/vents

You'll get it, I was just discussing upgrades for my car with my son, outside of front tires i just got, lay away plan, Im done with them then until winter.. Gas prices the way they are and now trying to help my ma, just cant do it. Things will get better soon... Don't hold me to that though!

I hear ya ron, we are all taking finantial hits the economy sucks. And time will prevail to us eventually finishing the projects. Like you said im not looking farward to the 4+ dollars a gallon for premium and my gas chuggin big block

Ill definantly.get a video of it running my friend. Its been a long road and im close,.yet so far away. Everything i touch is one step forward and three steps back with this thing

Seems like when its "im close" is when the "one forward-three back", starts.. Ive never seen it fail in any of my projects! Every time... Video sounds good looking forward to it.

Another update, sort of. well i bought another car.... Ughhh

Zero rust in the floors rails or anywhere, a tiny bit in the lower qtrs. thats it. Cars from Colorado

Took delivery yesterday. No new pics of it at home yet

Hey ron, how ya been? Naaa not busy, just had to resucue that car. It was waaay to clean to pass up. Just gunna tuck it away for a while until i finish something. Having three project cars thar arnt finished really slows stuff down.
The closest one to being done is my 68 Fury, needs the seats finished and armrests...
Next is the 74
Last is a brand X 87MonteCarloSS

I was ok until i seen your new project! lol... Some day i hope i can find one myself.. Right now im just doing some cruising with my car and gathering things to do the body work.paint my Ram.. There isint any real bad work and im trying to do this without painting the whole thing. Main goal is repairing and protecting it without doing a major paint job.. Ive only put on a little over 400 miles since the trans was rebuilt so im thinking a black cab and hood and black along the bottom, found surface spots starting on it so i need to address it all then ill get it sprayed with used motor oil underneath.. Its my daily driver when im not in the Satty.. Just filled it up 2 days ago, never mind!! cost of fuel. :angry1: :angry1: :angryfire:

The worse spot here, This photo taken before trans rebuilt and inspected, and i scraped a bunch of decals off and put a new gas line on it.. So far, its a great ride.. Wife got a new car a Merc Malonte,balonte? That Malibu is gone now sitting in our other drive way, OK< thats it you asked lol, this about covers it for now bud!!!
