79 Chrysler 300 with a 440. comp cam. 8 3/4 rear end with 355 gears 3 inch stainless exhaust 727 with shift kit and 2700 stall torque converter. cars is solid and clean has minor paint issues. Paint is mostly original and I’m the second owner

You could do updates on it but don't allow cements from others. Then people could check it before adding to this thread announcing another found one. Just a thought.
 
As some of you know, I have been trying to collect VINs for the 1979 Chrysler 300s in an effort to build a registry. My goal is to try and find out just how rare these cars are and how many are still on the road being driven. With the help of people like yourselves on forums, Facebook pages, eBay and craiglist, I have been able to locate 230 of the 3,811 that were sold in 1978 and 1979. 50 of these 230 VINs have been confirmed to be in a salvage yard or crushed. Those numbers are highlighted in red. There are some that I was unable to contact the owner to get a complete VIN from or I found it online, for sale, and could not contact the seller at the time. If you have a '79 Chrysler 300, or now where there is one, please let me know!

Over the past few weeks I added 5 VINs to the list bring the number up to 235, one of those was for a car being picked for parts though.

I also created a FB page if anyone is interested, let me know
 
I recently sold my 300 and looking to pass the torch of maintaining the registry/list of VINs. If anyone is interested in taking over let me know and I will send you the spreadsheet that I have been using.
