The current television schedule show Friday qualifying coverage starting at 11:00PM EDT (8:00PM PDT), Saturday qualifying coverage starting at 10:00PM EDT (7:00PM PDT), and Finals coverage starting at 4:00PM EDT (1:00PM PDT).

My picks for Sonoma are

TF Steve Torrence
FC Matt Hagan
PS Jason Line
PSM Jerry Savoie

JMO, but I thought the Mopar Mile-High Nationals was one of worst TV broadcasts since the announcing crew change. I know some drivers have bought their rides by bringing in sponsorship money, but I wonder what Dave Rieff and Tony Pedregon brought with them to buy their spots in the broadcast booth.
I'm not a big fan of either Reiff or Pedregon but this broadcast was one of their worse. Rieff was continually giving out incorrect info, Pedregon was bumbling and stumbling over his words - when he could find them, and even the graphics were incorrect several times with the wrong names for drivers on the strip.
Good grief!
I miss Mike Dunn.

Agreed, they really suck,
ESPN2 sucked also, but not anywhere near as bad as now...

A 2nd "blind squirrel" moment with 'ocdart' being the Top Qualifier for the 2017 NHRA Sonoma Nationals with a lucky total of 28.5 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel, the #2 qualifiers in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #6 qualifier in Funny Car.
'SSG Karg' (FABO) and 'johnnycuda' (FABO) were right behind in the #2 qualifier spot with 27.0 bonus points.
'alsant' was the top FBBO qualifier with 26.5 bonus points
More great picks!

We have 16 players for the Sonoma Nationals and 15 different driver combos made up of:
* Only 3 different Top Fuel drivers with the first possible head-to-head matchup in the semi-final round of eliminations.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchups between #5 qualifier Matt Hagan (4 picks) and #12 qualifier Ron Capps (7 picks). Also two possible head-to head matchups in Round 2.
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but the possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round #2.
* 4 different Pro Stock Motorcycle riders, but no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round #2.

Good luck all!

Oops!
'64BEL' (FBBO) let me know that I incorrectly credited Bo Butner with winning 4 rounds of eliminations at the Sonoma Nationals when he really only won 3.
The points have been corrected in the revised post below.
Sorry for any confusion.

Congratulations to '64BEL' (FBBO) for winning the 30th annual Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals "Top Picker Eliminator" title with 146.0 points. He picked the class winners in both Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle; his Funny Car pick went out in the second round 1 of eliminations.
'johnnycuda' (FABO) was the event runner-up with 143.0 points.

Still no time off. The third week of The Western Swing is the 16th race of the 2017 season, the 30th annual NHRA Northwest Nationals, August4-6, again at almost sea level at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. Low-altitude and oxygen-rich due to all of the surrounding trees.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, August 6 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 5:30PM EDT (2:30PM PDT).

The Northwest Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 16 Top Fuel, 16 Funny Car and 13 Pro Stock entries, but the counts are always subject to change. Pro Stock Motorcycle will not run at this event. Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist15.aspx for an updated entry list.
