Oops! The Sequel.
The short ladder for Pro Stock caused some confusion on qualifying points. I double-checked everything and found it just meant a couple of points for only a couple of players The points are correct on the standings below.
Sorry for any confusion.

Congratulations to 'memike' (FABO) for winning the 30th annual NHRA Northwest Nationals "Top Picker Eliminator" title with an outstanding 133.0 points. He picked the class winners in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock and his Funny Car pick went out in the semil-final round of eliminations. He was also helped with Speed bonus points in both Top Fuel and Funny Car.
'ocdart' (FABO) was the event runner-up with 1116.5 points.

Congrats to aslant for elimination points too

Yea ha I went up +1, baby steps

FBBO's 64BEL still leading the pack too...

Nice pickin' Al!
Way to stay at the top Bel!
We have tickets to Brainerd, just going up for the eliminations on Sunday. My 9yo daughter has been wanting to go for years. She's bummed that we aren't going the whole weekend. I told her will see how one day goes first. LOL
My wife and 13yo son are still on the fence about going.

First time?

First time?

I've been a few times but the kids and wife have never been there. It will be fun, the kids have no idea how loud and wild it will be. LOL
My daughter is a John and Courtney Force fan.

"Loud and wild"...that's what I've heard about the "Zoo" at Brainerd!
Enjoy the day!
My next time will be in November at the Finals at Pomona. We have a small group from Inland Mopars Car Club that goes to Friday qualifying each year at both the season-opening WinterNationals and the season-closing Finals.
Can't wait to get my 'nitro fix'!

When we took our daughter to her first national event (Joliet), she was 15. I told her she'd want ear plugs, she said nah. After the first funny car made just a short squirt, smoked the tires and shut off, she yelled, "where are the ear plugs!?" She wore them from then on. LOL

Try to get your 13 year old there, Reed. He'll be hooked. My daughter had a lot of fun in the pits interacting with the drivers over the years. Tim Wilkerson, Steve Johnson, Hector Arana Sr, and Roy and Revonda Johnson became favorites of ours. Especially Tim Wilkerson - what a super nice guy. Plenty of other nice drivers, too. Most of them are very generous and kind with their time - especially with the young fans. Fun to watch the Greek's operation, too.

Nice picking and a nice move up, ocdart!

Wow I didn't notice our dear game leader ocdart
went up 3+ spots, nice showing

The world lost a great and giving lady! She'll be missed.

TERRY CHANDLER PASSES FOLLOWING BRAVE FIGHT WITH CANCER | Competition Plus

I wonder what impact this is going to have for both Jack Beckman's and Tommy Johnson Jr's teams, both this year and in the future.

...and here's the answer.
Terry's husband, Doug Chandler, announced he's going to continued the sponsorship of both Funny Cars in Terry's memory.

Good news for Infinite Hero car & Jack Beckman
good news for Make a Wish car & Tommy Johnson Jr.
or more like DSR pocketbook...

good to see he's/Doug, Terry's husband is sticking with it,
NHRA has it's problems, too bad he didn't do something in Pro-Stock
too many people bailing on sponsorship already, rare full, pro fields etc.
{they call it or refer to it always as marketing partnerships}

She got married when she was just 16? Wow.

I know we're a few weeks away from the U.S. Nationals at Indy but it looks like we're going to finally get a full field of Pro Stocks for a change at the race.
There are currently 17 Pro Stocks on the event entry list right now and CompetitionPlus.com this morning reported that all three Grays - grandpa Johnny, dad Shane and son Tanner - will be in Valvoline-sponsored Camaro Pro Stockers at the Nationals. Tanner is the only one currently among the 17 entries on the NHRA.com entry list.

Brainerd "The Zoo" Picks

T/F Antron Brown

F/C Ron Capps

P/S Bo Butner {only 15 cars so far}
