2017 7th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Time For Your NITRO Fix! Get Ready To Make Your Picks!!!

I was kinda hoping Larry Dixon would have gotten the seat.

P/S Butner
{he's on a roll but I don't like/respect Tanner}

P/SM Savoie
{his team & Suzuki's are doing very well, him or Tonglet}

good luck everyone

Agree - I don't care for that kid Tanner at all. I looked up the definition of entitlement and his picture was there.

Talked to his grandpa, Johnnie, at a race once. Seemed like a nice good old boy. I liked him.

As always this is JMO, but I think the television coverage of the 2017 U.S. Nationals was one of the best I've seen - despite the two main announcers. I really enjoyed seeing the final round races of all the eliminators from Stock on up.
And having a '69 Dodge Dart currently in 'build mode', congratulations to Larry Gilley and his E/SA 1969 Dodge Dart for winning Stock Eliminator!

Congratulations to 'Duster79' (FABO) for winning the 2017 U.S. Nationals "Top Picker Eliminator" title with an outstanding 223.0 points. He picked the class winner in Pro Stock Motorcycle, both his Funny Car and Pro Stock picks lost in the finals and his Top Fuel pick went out in the semi-finals. His point total was helped by ET bonus points in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle and Speed bonus points in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
'stroked340' (FABO) was the event runner-up with 206.0 points.

'Nick2317' was the top FBBO player with 157.5 points.

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Top Fuel
E.T. - Clay Millican, 3.663 during qualifying
Speed - ATony Schumacher, 330.31 during qualifying

Funny Car
E.T. - Matt Hagan, 3.799 during qualifying
Speed - Matt Hagan, 338.77 during qualifying

Pro Stock
E.T. - Greg Anderson, 6.561 during qualifying
Speed - Bo Butner, 210.34 during qualifying

Pro Stock Motorcycle
E.T. - Eddie Krawiec, 6.822 during qualifying
Speed - Eddie Krawiec, 196.62 during qualifying

Here are the game point standings after the 18th event of the 2017 season, the close of the 'regular' season before the points are reset heading into the Countdown:

As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, September 15 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 2:45PM EDT (11:45AM PDT).
The Carolina Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 14 Top Fuel, 16 Funny Car, 15 Pro Stock and 13 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries, but the counts are always subject to change. Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist19.aspx for an updated entry list.
Get your picks posted and good luck!
The current television schedule show Friday qualifying coverage starting at 6:00PM EDT (3:00PM PDT), Saturday qualifying coverage starting at 2:00AM EDT Sunday (11:00PM PDT Saturday), both on FS1. Live Finals coverage starts at 2:30PM EDT (11:30AM PDT).

I'll give y'all a day or two to digest the points shown above before posting the reset points and special notice for the 'Countdown' events.

Good job, Nick!

My descent to the basement has begun.

I really wish Hagan would qualify lower and race better on Sundays

Nice job on qualifiers NICK

nice job on Eliminations NICK

FC's Hagan was a disappointment
so was my pick in FC Hight,
I read Beckman was fastest in testing

I knew I should have stuck with Capps

I knew I shouldn't pick Schumacher
I read he was fasted in testing there,
oh well, I knew better, such is life...
