UPDATE (08/10/20)
The 6th race of the 2020 season, the NHRA Southern Nationals, scheduled for August 28-30 at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA, has been cancelled as shown on nhra.com. I thought this might happen since there was no mention of this event during the television broadcast yesterday.
As of right now, the next scheduled event shown on nhra.com is the Denso Spark Plugs U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.

Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist03.aspx for an updated entry list.

I WILL POST FURTHER UPDATES AS SOON AS ANY NEWS SHOWS UP ON nhra.com.

Get your picks posted and GOOD LUCK!

damn down 1 again

figures I don't take TJ & he does well
I take Beckman & he sucks or visa versa

I had P/S J. Line & P/SM M. Smith & still went backwards, go figure

oh well, haven't lost anything but a little pride :poke:

Dom Lagana, Richie Crampton and Jacob Sanders were injured in a single-vehicle accident in Indianapolis Sunday night after the NHRA Indy Nationals. Both Crampton and Sanders injuries are non-life threatening. But Dom Lagana is reportedly on a ventilator with life-threatening injuries.
One report I read said nobody was wearing their seatbelts, Crampton and Sanders were thrown clear of the car but Lagana was trapped in the car and ended up with burns over 50% of his body. The ventilator is reportedly because he is having trouble breathing because of smoke inhalation.

I saw that on Dragzine too

thanks for sharing

authorities had said; speculated
"that speed was likely factor"
speed & no seat belts being worn is a bad mix
they should know better, being Professional racers
It was a really cool 57 Wagon (chevy) Richie Crampton built too,
he's a hell of a fabricator, like a pro-mod car

aside from that stuff

I hope Dom Lagana has a speedy & full recovery
this also seriously affects the Capco/Torrence teams big-time too
Dom's life/health/recovery is more important right now

Southern Nats Atlanta Race Aug. 28-30
& the Mopar Express Maple Grove Sept. 11-13 races
have been canceled due to Chinese Wuhan Flu Pandemic BS

seems like the Denso Spark Plugs US Nationals "INDY #4"
is still on, Sept. 3-6

Yeah Doug Chandler, Owner Chandler Aviation NM, is her husband
(RIP Terry died, IIRC from brain cancer (?) July 2017)
he/Doug has carried it, for a couple more years after Terry's death
at no expense to the 2 charities, all off his dime
in her honor, great family, greater racing family, great people in general

Terry was, the NM & North Texas oil fields guy
& former F/C DSR & P/S driver, also a P/S team owner
Johnny Gray's sister, Shane & Johnathon Gray, Johnny's 2 sons
still, race P/M/occasional P/S
Johnny's grandson Tanner Gray, won the P/S championship title in 2018 IIRC
at like 18 or 19 y/o in HS, IIRC then he retired from P/S racing

Congratulations to 'johnnycuda' (FABO) for winning the 2020 U.S. Nationals 'Top Qualifier' title with a very nice total of 30.0 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in Pro Stock, the #2 qualifiers in both Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #3 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'Budnicks' (FBBO) and 'SSG Karg' (FABO) shared the #2 qualifier spot with 28.0 bonus points each. More great picks!
Good luck all in eliminations tomorrow!

We have 15 players for the 64th event of the 2020 NHRA "Pick 'Em game season and 14 different driver combos made up of:
* 6 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There could be two head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations if they all survive the opening round.
* 3 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. The earliest possibility of a head-to-head matchup possibility is the semi-final round of eliminations.
* 6 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There could be two head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations.

* 4 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There could be one head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations, both in the upper bracket.

Good luck all!
