Congratulations to 'cuda20' (FABO), 'memike' (FABO), and 'Outlawd' (FBBO) for sharing the 2024 NHRA New England Nationals Top Qualifier title with a very nice total of 21.5 bonus points. They each picked the #1 qualifier in Pro Stock, the #2 qualifier in Top Fuel, and the #5 qualifier in Funny Car.
'Yunick13' (FBBO) was the runner-up qualifier with 21.0 bonus points.
Way to go!
More great picks!

We have 16 players again this week and 12 different driver combos made up of:
* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchup. There is a possible head-to-head matchup in Round 2 if both drivers survive the opening round of eliminations.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #5 qualifier Matt Hagan (6 picks) and #12 qualifier Ron Capps (1 pick). There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in the semi-finals if all drivers survive.
* 3 different Pro Stock drivers with the earliest possible head-to-head matchup in the semi-finals if all drivers survive.

Good luck all!

Nice picking, Outlawd! Way to hang on to #1, alsant and nice +2, Bud!

Did you notice how much the points tightened up after the New England Nationals?
  • Before, the point difference from first place to second place was 37.0 points, after the New England Nationals the point difference is down to 4.0 points
  • Before, the difference from first to eighth was 81.5, now it's 42.5
  • Before, the difference from first to sixteenth was 266.5, now it's 191.5
We are 7 events into a 21-race season. This game is still anyone's to win. Especially considering two of the upcoming races, the U.S. Nationals and the In-N-Out Burger Finals are points-and-a-half. Also, the points will be reset after the U.S. Nationals and that always tightens the point spread.

This is going to be a fun season!

Hot crappy slimy track, with at sea level 'good air' (good HP) was an equalizer for sure
underdogs or racers not normally contending were in play
surprised at some of the better teams, that didn't do very well
