Freshly machined block, line honed. Installed ARP Main studs. On the #3 bearing journal, the alignment tab is off a bit, the engine side is almost as much off. The bearings are Mahle. Should I machine the tab, contact 440 source and see if they can exchange them? Has anyone ran into this before?

Have you compared another bearing to confirm its not the slot thats misaligned?
Good idea, but this is the thrust bearing. I should have kept the old ones for reference
What is the set part number? What is the bearing shell part number? I also see a shadow of the oil hole in the bearing in the cap. Do both shells have oil holes, or do you have them installed wrong?
And there it is. I had the upper and lower bearings backwards. I'll admit I was stupid. Maybe someone will learn from my ignorance. Thanks all.
