I got the grille sanded, found some boo boo's. Took care of those, straightened the vertical bars and started polishing. I might finish tomorrow, but the hoodlums get out of school early, so I wouldn't hold my breath, lol!

Wow what a nice job Zack.If I only had my car back to put them on.I need to get healed up a little or at lease walk.My toe is a little better today. I'll get Back at it tomorrow.

I got some more things done.I will be starting the engine build tommorow.My wife and I are trying to paint all the little things because we don't want to do any spraying when the car shows up. Hello All, I'm heading down to the body shop to check up on the Dodge and maybe do some block sanding.I took the K frame to get striped at MEC it looked like new when I picked it up.I'll get to the engine this afternoon.019.jpg
 
Hello All, Went to the Mccellans today we are ready for white.I got a little done to the engine today.Bruce Dunlap and his son Alex helped lift the crank in the block that was a big help.I have to degree the cam yet maybe I can sneek that in tomorrow.My grand children are in for Easter that will make a good weekend. The car can wait.Dave L

My favorite bit of playing with cars - engine assembly. I tend to slow down and enjoy it as much as I can...

So a stroker crank? What cubes, CR, cam, heads etc . Don't spare the details please Dave!
 
Dave the dropped cylinder head, looks as tho it broke some toes.......... yes? I'm sorry to hear that crap hurts.....The bloody knuckles is an every turn of the wrench thing for us wrench players but the slippery hand on a head isn't any fun!
 
Hello All,The old 426 is coming together.Here's some of my build.The pistons are .007 out of the hole,with a .051 cometic head gaskets.

You just have to love the looks of a new engine, be it big or small. Nice job!
 
What type valve covers you planning to use to cover up all that valve train? That engine looks GREAT.......NICE JOB!
