440 MSD Install Questions: Diagram Included

I got the accel - custom hi -temp wires but to each their own

Well, I ended up hand-rolling my own MSD cables using a Universal MSD kit and MSD Crimper. That was fun.

Update: I finished installing the MSD goodies.

My 440 fired right up and I have set inital timing about 12 degs BTDC.

I saw on another thread that many were pleased using 1 Silver spring, 1 Blue Spring, and the Black bushing supplied with the MSD Pro Billet distrib.

Is the silver a "heavy" silver or "light" silver?

I set up my the distrib with 1 Heavy Silver spring, 1 Blue spring, and the Black bushing. The 440 is a stock engine nothin fancy and the car is only a cruiser.

I'm gonna go out for a test drive. Just waiting on a friend in case we need to push the car to the side of the road (i hope not).

Thanks for the help,

I have the exact same setup you have on my 66 net. I located the box behind the glove box and mounted the coil on the inner fender. i ditched all the resistor crap and tied the dark blue to the box small red.I used the 8.5 super conductors and the plug boots bend. The black bushing worked great in my dizzy 18 initial and 36 total.

I maybe should have pick a more discrete spot too. Oh well.

Which RPM module did you use?

I plugged in the 6000. I don't know why, I just did.
