You and me both. I always say "What was I thinking ??"

Hey Golden Commando, Can you please respond to me on the place where you have pictures of shopping for parts in response to me asking for a hood ! I might have a connection close by that will pick up for me. Thank you

Speaking of '63 Polaras (not a 500), where can I get the plastic clips that mount to the top of the fender and door for the trim?
Same question for the plastic clips that are screwed onto the rocker panels for that trim.

Somebody had made an addition to the clip on the right using a screw. Not sure about Dodge; but my ’63 Ply is attached by offset scissors type clips along the body and upper trim on the doors. For some reason ma mopar used just six of the ‘H’ type clips similar to your photo, for the upper trim along the rear windows. Four of them were broken beginning a lengthy hunt for those clips. I had no luck, close, but no cigar. As I kept pondering on it, I wondered if the scissors clips on the door trim would work on the rear trim. Those worked perfectly, but I couldn’t find those either – close, but not enough. Then remembered I have a stash of extra trim in the attic with several of the OEM clips. Used them.

Not saying this might work in your situation. This was about 6-7 years ago when restoring my car, maybe suppliers have these now. One person to ask is Joey, the site admin.

I just removed some of the trim clops. Appear to be original. Rocker palel drilled or punched for the clip. screw looks like it keeps the clips from turning
