Hello I was trying to figure out what the difference is with the new AMD non-air condition car firewall for use on 66 or 67 b bodies. I have a 66 Plymouth Satellite as well as a 67 Plymouth GTX. I need to repair or replace both cars firewalls. I have a good used one out of a 66 satellite parts car. I was wanting to know if AMD does not list it as fitting 66 to 70 due to fitment issues or is it a cosmetic change starting in '68? Has anybody used one of these firewalls to replace one on a 66 or 67 b-body? I would like to know what issues or differences there are? Maybe they're isn't any differences in the new replacement AMD versus original? Thanks for looking any input here would be much appreciated Eric

As far as I know firewalls are same 66-70

The difference is huge between Factory air and non factory air

Not sure what your asking about. AMD shows the firewall for 66-70 B which is correct.

Read the description. Says 66 to 70 and then the description states fits 68 to 70. That's what he's asking about.

I'll stare at a couple of mine today if I get the chance and see if there's anything notable between a '66 and '70

Okay I follow ya.
I have several 66-70 walls and haven't seen any differences.

dadsbee is Correct that is exactly what I'm trying to figure out why the description at AMD States it fits 68 to 70. I agree that I do not believe there is any difference in fitment between 66 and 70 like Mopar Marks stated. What my assumption is that the only difference between the firewalls and why AMD States it only fits 68 to 70 is because of brake line clamp routing? I think if my memory is correct ,though I do not own a 68 to 70 b-body at this time is that the brake line route is like a rainbow over the transmission tunnel area. I have tried to figure this out . That's the only thing I can come up with unless there are more or less total amount of strengthening ribs put in the firewall between the different years? It seems that no one at AMD can answer this question . I dealt with this once before with them when they were telling me that the rear frame rails they sell will not work in the 66 and 67's. The only difference with rear frame rails is that the 66 and 67 rails have holes on each rail for the single fuel tank strap to mount the fuel tank up with. I really appreciate everyone's help with this Fabo has wonderful members Thanks Eric

That's what I was thinking the differences might be, the holes for different options. The fastback Charger has a large hole by the bulkhead connector that no other car had, as an example
