67 Coronet build thread

The green in the can looks good and the top gold color will show off the Coronet lines. My first Coronet, a 66 was harvest gold. It was darker than the ones you have pictured. Can't wait to see your progress. Keep the pics coming.

So you've decided on torturing yourself huh... lol. Bodywork can be fun or it can be :BangHead:. Looking good:thumbsup:

I like all of the colors minus the bottom one.

Very nice car good luck with your build I love the 66 67 Coronet’s they are a pain to find certain things but if you dig you can get what you need

Well got a lot cleaned up, and was able to test fit my front pan...Pretty happy with the quality, had to trim off a 1/8" on each side to get it to drop down onto the sills.
Ended up having to cut front down bars and my hoop out to get it in....i was going to split it but decided against it....

What floor pan did you go with ?

I ordered through Tamarazz as it was the cheapest AMD ( As it was advertised) but it ended up being a GoldenStar. Pretty pleased with the fitment. It was a little wider than the oe and just need a little trimming.
I had to modify the flange for the pinch weld at the firewall because I couldn't get to the spot welds over the frame due to my mid motor mounts but you won't see it. I also bought the rear seat footwells because they had huge holes cut to install the roll cage and I wanted them smaller.

Was a little nervous of the Goldenstar metal but after getting my cowl from them was impressed how well it fit its a bit thin but most aftermarket sheet metal is

Well got a little more done on my pans. Fitted up the rear foot wells, stewed everything in place to check alignment and it all looks good.
I do have some small issues with some of the side supports not lining up between the ribs exactly but it's an easy fix. The form of the trans tunnel will need some work it appears the trans tunnel might be a little shorter than stock as the pan is not testing completely on the cross member, I think once I pop some holes I will start spotwelding from the middle and work my way out to the edges...
