Greetings. Here is the scoop on the car. I purchased the car without a motor. A new 440 is now installed and I have been starting to cruise/work the bugs out. I noticed on my driver side suspension that the rim is rubbing on the upper A arm, especially when I turn left. Is this caused by really bad alignment, worn shock, or bent parts? I realize that it is hard without a pic but it would be much appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction to start ruling things out. I plan on going through the suspension this winter but would like to get a couple miles on before that happens. Thanks in advance.

change the wheel...had the same issue and the wheel was wrong for the car

Thanks for the reply terzmo. Would it only happen on one side? Also, what should I look for in back spacing. They are centerline rims.

And be sure and check your a-arm bushings and your ball joints, it it is your ball joint you'll want to get it fixed before you drive it much, it could come apart and it will tear up a lot of stuff. Good Luck! Ronnie

yes because the one wheel was the only one incorrect...you can look under the car and have the wheel turned and I'm sure you'll see it hitting on somewhere of the turn radius..I had one on my 67 r/t...same symptoms...changed wheel...life was better...stock backspacing for mopars will work on a stock frontend
