68' Charger build

Very Nice! Are you going to take the new front suspension, K member, etc. back off prior to paint?

yup, just one of the multiple items im trying to get fitted prior to painting. Last thing I want is to have to work with freshly painted sheet metal to see if stuff fits

I agree, good thinking!

I agree, i always wondered watching some TV programs why they take a chance with fenders and doors, I even like the engine and trans in if its possible before final paint..

Im just ordered my TTi headers today, ordered them in raw as well just incase there is any mods needed I wont ruin the finish. After all the forum posts I read it seemed hit or miss if people like the headers fit or like them at all but they were the most used hands down. I'll find somewhere local to get them coated. Sounds like a lot of people like the ceramic option.

I like the front end kit "looks killer".

mocking up the steering, need to wait till I get my headers to finish. Next comes the seatbelt mounts and the center console, getting rid of the buddy seat bracket.

Looks like your going all out, very nice work.

getting towards the end of the metal work.

68 Charger is my all time favorite car and if I had one to do it would be along the same lines as what you're doing here! Love this build!!

word of warning on the steering column, the lower bushing is plastic, not a bearing like the stock one,,the exhaust will melt the plastic bushing & it makes the steering very sticky,we had a oil lite bronze bushing made & that solved the problem.

I'm going to have to look into that, the last thing I want is to have to redo that.

OK, what gives? You can't just go from those not so attractive wheels to those beauties and not at least give us the scoop, cool wheels. What size are they? Looking good

Your car is looking great! I like the gauge cluster. Did you send it out or do it yourself? I too am thinking about the volt gauge in place of the Amp gauge. Is that speedo wire or cable driven?

I did the cluster myself, its all electrical. Those not so attractive one are for sale, hahaha. Those came on the car when I got it. Those are center lines, polished. I think they will look really nice with the color im going with
