Looking good Charlie and again great job with that grille! Especially the trick getting rid of that bow in the lower section, outstanding work :icon_thumleft:

well my restoration has changed direction a little,i was going to hang doors & fenders & then block all the lines & then take the car apart & paint the doors & fenders off the car,i decided to paint the jams, finish the BASIC body work on the doors & fenders, spray the final coat of clausens filler sealer, cut in the doors & fenders with black & put them all back on the car for hopefully the last time,i will then finish the rest of body work on the 1/4's & roof & do the final block sanding.
with the way i am doing it now, i can put my ac box , dash assy & install the windshield

dont laugh i had a fight with the seam sealer,my hands have gotten so shaky i had seam sealer everywhere smilielol

Looks good from here!
Just wondering what the gas can was used for?

thanx

the gas tank is not in the car so i use that can so i can move the car.

I'm a little to late with this tip but oh well you may find a use for it later, I think I saw it on "Chop Cut Rebuild". Take acetone and a paint brush to the seam sealer, it will smooth it right out making a really clean looking joint. I did this on my drip rails "worked great". Car is looking great

well for the seams i have already done its to late, but i still have my drip rails & fenders & doors to do, so i thank you VERY much for the tip 747.
i get pretty frustrated with my eye hand coordination & the brush will definitely make things look better :)

Looks good to me. Just remember that the sealer was very crudely installed from the factory so you have a whole bunch of leeway and no matter how bad you think it looks, it wouldn't be wrong. When I was putting mine on, I had a hard time just lathering it all over after spending so much time getting the body work perfect.

sure going to be a nice car when she's done... great work, I think you made a good deviation, to do all the hidden/covered up paint area's stuff 1st...

Thanks CDR, I've been trying to figure out what that bolt in the upper left corner of the steering column bracket was for "it appears I'm missing a brace".

That dash looks great with the white gauges!! Wicked, cool looking Chargers being built here!

Man, you're leaving me in the dust Charlie haha looking really great! Really like the white face gauges and I'm sure I'll be having a lot of questions about installing all that stuff here shortly. I'm going the same way with painting jams, window channels, etc first so I can sorta split my efforts on body and basic interior. "I just wanna hear it run!" lol

mine runs but it is the original 383,but i have a lot of my parts for the big motor,my plan is to drive the car with the 383 & build the 511 as money is available.

thanx to everyone for the positive comments!!!!!

Dug around my old RR parts and found the missing link, this sight is coming in really handy. "511" that's going to be allot of fun, after tinkering around with my 456 I can't imagine a 511 "this thing seems like it's going to be an animal". Good luck, I'm sure I'll have more questions.
