68 gtx

Thanks, for not spraying it in a booth it turned out pretty darn nice.

The car looks great, one of my favorite colors. Did you build a makeshift paint bay in your garage?

Nope no booth, just blew the shop and car down about 3 days in a row and kept the floor wet the same.Been so dry here that there are no bugs or flies so we were able to crack the front and back shop doors to get some air moving along with my exhaust fan kept any overspray off and out the door. The color actually is darker than the pics show and about as close to the original QQ1 as you can get.It will be another week yet before i can roll it outside for better pics as it needs to be cut and buffed yet.

WOW, that looks great......

painted a car under a sappy tree once ...little wet sand and polish,
looked ok!

with the weather lately (moist, hot)...you did great.

Looks great from the pic's Jay. Nice work man.

Turned out better than expected Will, the guy that did all the work is slow and never fired up a air tool once other than a spray gun but does good work.It also helped that my buddy from Automotive Supply let us use one of his demo $$$$$$$ Sata Digital spray guns to paint it.If you ever get over this way stop by and i will be glad to show you the car.

Your car looks awesome! just beautiful with that mirror finish.

Wow..that's a lot of work strickly by hand. I take it your buddy works at the Automotive Supply in Waupaca up by the Ford dealership? Great store/chain.
Definitely need to swing by and check her out. I have a couple sets of rear window trim I coould drop off for you. Pretty decent stuff, but will need work in a couple areas...if you want it.

Yepper Will he works at the Waupaca store by the old Ford dealer and is very in the know on the paint end of things over there. He also paints out of his own shop so he not only sells paint but also uses it so he knows what works. He didnt have the time for mine but did stop by weekly to check the body guys work. And yes by all means if you get this way drop the chrome off and i should be able to get one decent set between yours and mine.

all i can say is beautifull.I can only imagine what it looks like if i saw it in person,it would probably leave me speechless.

I love the 68 gtx, was my very first car at the age of 15! Way to much fun!

Cut and buffed with the assembly process started.Starting to resemble a GTX again.
