what did you use for retainers for your side emblems??

sjd
Headed to the parts store tonight, I'll let you know. I did find one emblem had small soft washers on the studs, going to have to come up with something there. I think to help from pulling to hard on the stud and bending the emblem.

Here's the washer/grommet. They are rubber. Not sure if they are original or not but seems like a good idea. Maybe to help keep water out of the inside?

I think I'm going to black it out. The black AC condenser will help some. Should help the grill pop a little more having black behind it. Does anyone have a picture for reference on the black out?

I had this pic saved for blackout reference, wish I would have done mine.

Use radiator paint for the radiator!

As you can see I got a surprise when I test fitted the AC line to the fitting. So I tried the 90 end to see if it would clear. It did but I would not be able to get the valve cover off. So I had originally bought some DC covers so I threw them on, BINGO. They have just enough taper on the ends to get them off with the 90. I may see if a 45 will clear to make the routings better. FYI the Trick flows are about .75 taller and the valve cover added to that.
Hey,
Your car looks great. I'm also using the same a/c kit and have the mopar performance top pans on my 440 with 440 source alum heads. I'm concerned that I may run into the same fit problem as you did, I havnt drilled the holes in the firewall yet, do you have any advice so I can avoid that problem? thanks

When I took mine off they were held in with thread cutting nuts with butyl as a sealer. Sometimes it gets hard and leaves little discs like what you have.

These were on the emblem and on the outside of the car.

Got my radiator painted last night, used Eastwoods radiator paint in a fiz can.

Also got the block off plate for the drivers side vent opening made and painted. I have a couple extra if anyone wants one.

Dean I think you will be ok. I believe the stealth heads are the same physical size as the OEMs. The trick flows were about .875 taller than the OEMs, I believe this caused the problem.

So the black out is sprayed on after the fenders are installed 440+6?

I'm sure they where, can't see them painting them individually.
Some originals I have seen look pretty sloppy with over spray, maybes someone has better pics of originals.

hmmm...not what I was expecting. I have a '71, and it seems to have these little cone shaped sleeves over the pins on the back of the GTX emblems.

I'm not sure about what I found on my car Steve. It had been painted 2 times since the original paint so anything is possible.

Anyone got a number or code for the darker blue (B7?) used on the dash & steering wheel?

So it's not a stock part? Just curious and don't remember if you mentioned before, but why are you blanking the vents, got a/c? or just gonna rely on rolling down the windows?
