Yep.....You rust E'm good there in The USof A and Can-adah.......yep rule good...

wow i havent posted in a long time. i got the motor /trans pulled from the car, and did a little dolly work on the roof where it was crushed in....ok ok a little hydraulic jack and dolly work....had to cut part of the inner rear window brace away to do the job. i braced the window, as you can see. so im at a bit of a standstill for now..again. im going to build the dolly under the car next but i want some advice. it WOULD probably be best to keep the framerails till later on after i do the other metal, wouldnt it? then id have a place to support the car on the dolly, the rest just seems too flimsy/rusty to support the car.id like to do trunkpan, trunk extensions, rear quarters, rear bumper filller panel. in that order. then i could get the framerails onto all the new metal not making the car too flimsy in the process,i am thinking. only cutting the trunkpan out minimally, like 8 inches or so from the hump...? oh and i would have the dolly supporting the rear of the car under the FRONT part of the frame rails, in front of the hump.sound good??

WOW. I haven't been here in 5 years. How life happens....I still have the car, it has sat for the whole 5 years basically untouched. good thing I gutted it. for some funny reason, I had the gumption to pull the trans off the motor which is out in my barn yesterday. then I pulled the heads and intake off the engine and the bores look good. its a j400(1973). good stroker block, and all stock. I have been thinking more about the car in the last couple weeks, kind out of nowhere really. got a bit more cash flowing lately, but still no decent place to work on it. the fact that 5 years has just passed me by is really getting me thinking I need to get moving on this car.

Stuff projects. Got to break these things into small projects.
I also I'm thinking of building a 400 for my 69 RR. My car is way away from worrying about the motor thou.
