70 Hemi Superbird Restoration..................errr.....scratch that........

Not bad, pretty dam cool. I'm sticking with Hemirunners sinister black bird. Black is beautiful. MOPAR

Got the front spring hanger braces in place. Still need to weld them out.

The front bay bars are two of the trickier bars that were needing done. The driver's side was going to be particularly difficult as it needed to clear the fresh air vent box. Well, today was the day. I had to clear out a bunch of sheet metal to get it in, but that's easily put back in place. This was a four hour fabrication fest. I still need to do the passenger side.

I've seen these bay bars installed all sorts of ways. I'm looking to have a very "stock appearing" engine bay (not that a motor plate is "stock appearing" by anyone's standards, lol) so I didn't want the bars to be intrusive. I think mine looks good.,

Now, I just need to clean off the DP-40 and get some welding done.

So......I'm sure you all have heard the phrase "while I'm here I might as well do...." .....well....turbo mounts!!

Here's what you guys want to see! Turbo ****!

You can see the brace goes over to the center section side of the exhaust for support right where all the weight is. Another will be added on the back where the exhaust hooks up.

The turbo will get clocked at more of an angle for the outlet to point right at the opening of the intercooler.

The 4" exhaust downpipe will go directly under the bay bar and will exit right through the lower fender behind the tire. I could either fix the rust in the lower fenders or run the exhaust through it. Easy decision!

The air cleaner will go on here for street driving and will come off for racing. The lower openings in the nose will feed air to these.

You can hardly see the little 76mm turbo up in there. There's enough room to put 91's in it if I ever get big enough for the grown up turbos, lol.

I just finished reading the entire thread, it's great! You are very talented and the build is awesome

Looking good! I found that ram air into the turbo will make 5 more psi boost at 150-200 mph on my race bike.

looking very good just got caught back up on your thread ,your doing a very nice job:thumbsup:

This thing is the project that never seems to end. Hopefully, I can get that second turbo hung this week.
