Thanks. I lowered it down to figure out what's up with the rear window plug so I thought I'd check out what kind of stance I can get. This low is going to require some surgery on the squared off factory wheel tubs.I like.
Ha ha I'm no where near 'close' but I appreciate the enthusiasm!Gettin CLOSE!! Can't wait for the vid!
I just did the same to mine, have wheel houses cut, double checking before going back together, can't check enough. Hopefully finish cutting 4link brackets this week. I'm enjoying your build.Thanks. Thanks. Do you have pics posted anywhere?I just did the same to mine, have wheel houses cut, double checking before going back together, can't check enough. Hopefully finish cutting 4link brackets this week. I'm enjoying your build.
I throw some on (what did you do to your mopar today) was just going to inboard the springs, but had so many 4 link cars just didn't think it would sit right. I'm not much of a picture taker. Maybe I should start one.Thanks. Do you have pics posted anywhere?
I've got 4 1/4 at stock k member and 5 at rear frame rail, I like your 2x2 k member but wasn't sure it was going to let you go as low as I thought, I'm in the middle of one of those to. I'm doing a 66 post coronet.I think the stance looks good. Still got 4-1/2" ground clearance at the K-frame and 6" minimum everywhere else.
It wouldn't have gone that low but I took an inch out of the dropped center 2x2 and rewelded it. Luckily, I won't have a wet sump pan hanging below it so I could probably drop the front another inch. I have plenty of room above the front tire. The rear has plenty of ground clearance, just need to do something about the flat wheelwell top. I wished I would have done that when I originally widened them. Oh well, at least it's not painted.I've got 4 1/4 at stock k member and 5 at rear frame rail, I like your 2x2 k member but wasn't sure it was going to let you go as low as I thought, I'm in the middle of one of those to. What usually happens is that the destination changes half way through the trip! My plan hasn't changed on this one, just an oversight on the tire diameter. Not looking forward to correcting it either. I really hate sheetmetal work!Very good. I always tell guy build for where you want to end up, not now.
Better to check twice, cut once! Thanks Goon!Wow man! Absolutely love that there is now a visual of the end result to come and it seriously could not be more baddass! I've said it before but yours is one of my favorite builds going on here and I love checking in to see where you're at.
I just decided to get my rubber ordered. Although doing nothing as extreme as yours since I am now having a diff housing made, new trunk floor and suspension I may as well make sure I have the clearance I want around my measly little 305's
Cheers Brother!
Thanks! I just posted the info you needed in the k-member thread.I read your complete build and man, this Bird is just bad *** ! Love the plan you have for it !
Will follow this build ;)
