70 Hemi Superbird Restoration..................errr.....scratch that........

WOW, Love it! You probably already know that I'm no fan of the pointy nosed Mopars but right tires and stance...... Looks mean as hell, I think you've got it nailed.

As the owner of a 70RR, I always thought that the nose and wing ruined an otherwise perfect car. Over the years I've come to appreciate the unique situation that created these cars, the history that followed and the cutting edge aerodynamics rivaling even modern day cars. To this day, I still don't care for the jacked up look that most birds and daytonas have. Something that sleek should hug the earth.

I clicked agree, but it just doesn't give me enough Agreence, so I agree 10,000 percent!!

I had a 71 Satellite that if I pulled up next to an MG-B, I would have look up to the driver!! Dump that bad-boy!!

Totally agree, Chevy and Ford guys don't like discussing those years in Nascar lol.

My 1" bending die showed up so I thought I'd get started on the lower control arm jig. I stripped the arm, including the lower ball joint, and was preparing to start on the pivot end by locating the pivots with a piece of 1-1/8 and found this.

I always wondered why the pivot shaft had to be driven in and out with a hammer. I will make sure mine at least line up. The less bind in a suspension the better it will work.

With a week away from the shop and lots of other stuff going on, I'm slacking in the progress department. Hope to get something posted soon.

Sounded like you were talking about opening up or maybe dehumping the wheel wells for your outer vertical tire clearance. 747 and I both did that and there are plenty of pics of how we did it. Someone on here did it with the quarters on, I forget who tho.

I already mini-tubbed them and dehumped them but what I didn't do is round out the top or raise the top of them to get more clearance on top of the tire for the lowered ride height. It's gonna be a real pain to do it now that all the metal is back on and the cage in.
