After all the work on the nose, I came up with a new mounting strategy. It will consist of four tubes(two on each dividing panel) that telescope into receiver tubes and pin into place. The receiver tubes will be extensions of the intercooler mounting tubes. The beauty of this design is.. Pull 4 pins and disconnect the wiring and the whole nose pulls off for easier access to the engine or headlight mechanisms.

Garage looks bigger, is the green car gone? I loved that thing!!
I just moved it up to the house garage to give me more room to work in. This building has filled up fast with this project and all the equipment I've bought along the way. I can't wait until it's done!

Awesome work on the nose fab, as usual looking great!

i got room for that ugly green car with the messed up motor with the plug wires coming out of the valve covers. i got plenty of room. the nose looks awesome too

This nose project is the gift that keeps on giving. Giving me fits, that is. I got one mount bar welded together and bolted in. Looks like it should work well. The linear actuators showed up as well. You can see my idea for mounting. I need to get my pivot adjusting plates done so I can determine a lever length. These are cheap ebay units and don't have internal limit switches so I'll have to add those.

That's not bad concidering the aero advantage over a,,,,,,,,,,,,,BRICK!
The weight will really pile on when I add the two intercoolers. They don't mount in the nose but will mount on the front of the car. This won't be a 3200 lb lightweight!
