View attachment 572448 So Friday, I stopped in the dyno shop to see the final pull on the NSS engine for the car I caged. It went north of 800 and sounded great. We had to use my dyno headers as his early B body headers didn’t fit the dyno chassis. I took a few minutes to measure the dyno chassis so I could make turbo supports and mounts for my drysump tank, water tanks and fuel pump.

I have a dry sump tank, a cable drive fuel pump, two 76mm turbos, two air/water intercoolers and two ice tanks. It’s gonna be a circus.

The pan is a one off that Andy Finkbeiner made. Here’s the inside. I’m gonna have a double o-ring groove machined into the mounting flange so no gasket is needed.

Those are some pretty slick looking parts your having made, do you have the means to do the programs or do you just take a sketch with some dimensions to your guy. Good luck building those monkey bars for your dyno run

I wish I had the ability. I just gave him the parts and explained what the goal was and he did the rest. Luckily, he’s also a car guy with a twin turbo SBF Mustang so he gets it.

I got the radiator in along with the fan shroud. I put on a water pump housing and mocked up the fan to make sure there were no issues. The upper radiator hose is going to need relocated to the end of the radiator which probably means using expensive AN fittings and line. At this point, I can’t see any way around that.

I also welded on the rack mounts now that I had the oil pan in hand to use for mock up. I’ll probably use offset bushings and move it up a tick.

You can barely see the top of the rack above the K-frame. A little room to still go up.

This oil pan fits so much better than that ugly one I fabricated.

Once I get the steering column in and connected to the rack, I think I’ll rework the driver side header where it goes around the shaft.

I just don’t like this low tube when all the others are tucked tight.

I’m still waiting on blow off valves which will go on each side in the positions where I’m holding the wastegate. Unfortunately they’re on back order until April some time.

I can’t dyno without them so we’ll probably move the dyno session back to June or July. I still have plenty to do until then.

Interesting idea. The only limitation would be vertical clearance to the hood and the ability to go over the fan without getting into the blades. I’ll have to ponder on that concept for a while.
