Thanks and I agree. It’s only shiny and new once! I can’t wait to get this monster bolted together and get some complete pictures.Bare metal and freshly machined stuff make for the best photos. Looking really good.

Thanks. It’s the nicest forged one I’ve ever used. That looks like a sweet piece
Even the counterweights are fully machined on this one.The beauty of machined steel.
yeah, they did a nice job of that. It’s a real nice piece.I like the chamfering on the on the oiling holes, looks great.
It’s a dry sump system with an adjustable pressure regulator. I ordered the crank with the main journals at 2.7495 to get this kind of clearance with the housing bore at the low end of the spec which when hot, should open up the clearance to .004-.0045. The main thing is to not lose clamp load on the insert. If you can stay with cool oil and lots of it all the better as mains are close to max clearance
Yes!! I should not have posted pics of these top secret bearings! Lol. It’s just Calico’s CT-1 dry film coating. It’s purpose is to minimize the damage if for some reason we have an oil issue. Hopefully it would keep the bearing from spinning in the bore. I have a set of mains coming from them as well. They’re Clevite H Series bearings.Secret coating?
