I was curious as to how the 70 Superbirds were titled. Were they actually titled as Roadrunners or did they have there own designation on the title as a Superbird? Were they actually titled as saying Superbird? I was wondering because I can remember when they could not get rid of the Superbirds at dealerships and they would remove all the pieces and sale them as a roadrunner.

They have RM in the VIN which denotes them as a Road Runner, nothing else would point to the Superbird model.

And, I understand all Superbirds were made on one day, however, I find that hard to swallow as nearly 2000 of those god awful ugly but today top on my list of cars I would LOVE to own!

Mine was just titled as a 70 Plymouth 2 door

Thats what I was thinking they were titled as. I figured they wouldn't be denoted as a superbird on the title. After all they are roadrunners with extra modifications and they show RM on the vin.

Agreed, no way they did them in one day, but they DO all have the same build date on the fender tags

In the March '06 printing of GG's white books he shows 1 known RM23U that is NOT a Superbird

I would rely more on a window plug, fenders, quarters with holes, extra brackets in the trunk, and an A13 on the fender tag instead of just a "U" code
