This will be a slow going project, so be patient between post for updates.

First repair is the broken seat back, thanks for the suggestions to weld it back up.

after I finish the seat, next will be the radiator and coolant system

Pictures look better than actual, some rust to deal with, you'll see in future post. Thanks though!

Currently working on electrical gremlins behind the dash, the PO did some wire splicing after replacing the headlight switch with an aftermarket switch, I have some intermittent issues with the park lights coming on, so the dash came out, and the multimeter goes to work.
Here's a legend for the headlight switch;

I plan or re-writing the entire wiring diagram for the 72 Dodge Charger/Coronet in color, it will be some time yet to come, I'll start a new thread specifically for that when I do, and see what interest there is for other makes and models, it's a little time consuming, but I enjoy electrical work and schematics, my first job out of tech school was as an electrical draftsman.

Oh, and kudos to plumcrazyrr for finding the hd lt sw legend for me on another site.

Wow, that car is in great shape, I like the color too.

Thanks, it's actually has some hidden rust, and not just surface either, some work below the rear window, and some serious qtr work will need to be done, but should be a driver in a week or 2, so I can enjoy it while working on fixing it up.

Oh, and it's been repainted once in it's life, it's a factory hemi orange car, they came close to matching it, but you can see the difference under the trunk lid.

My ride along buddy, use to be in my 66 Charger, now he'll don the passenger seat in the 72...beep beep my a%% lol
Stands about 4' tall

Well, finished tearing the dash out, I believe the switch works as it should after testing it, but here are the culprits, some crappy wire splices

looks like they used wires from the factory radio to splice into a kraco....at least they were trying to keep it period correct:angry7:
Bet money I can get it to work, am/fm multiplex factory radio

a little more rust to deal with than meets the eye at first, this is the worst of it, although I do have some at the firewall as well.

Need me one of these drivers door arm rest pads if anyone has extras for sale
I'll post it in the classifieds wanted, if no one reading this has any.

Nice looking ride... I was never a huge fan of vinyl tops, but it looks great on yours. Good luck with the project.

Thanks, but the vinyl top is coming off permanently, also, just scored a brand new oem radiator still in the box with receipts for $125, guy didn't have a chance to install it before he sold his car.

Sweet deal on the radiator... Be prepared for some rust under the vinyl around the rear windshield... it is one of the reasons I don't like the vinyl on cars I have owned.

That's why it's coming off, there's rust and holes to contend with at the back window, I'll take the nasty pics of it when I remove it.

Just scored an almost new Edelbrock 1406 for $100, no carb controversy's, this happens to be my favorite brand, I will have a Holley manual choke up for sale when it comes off.
