#72 Off To Canada EH

After going backwards for a week( put liquid in the rad and it leaked even after a recore which they say they pressure test?)Getting the rad back soon and making some head way on other stuff. My Friend Jeff Gable who has painted all my Mopars took a shot at the Organisol Black on the hood----turned out pretty nice after 3 attemps at sealing the original 45 yr old fiberglass hood lots of fish eyes in the beginning. Air box is done and installed(new top gasket is a pain to get to lay down right). I installed all the glass along with the polished stainless trim over the past 2 weekends --I think it will be able to make its first appearance at Mega Speed 14 in Toronto Mar 21-23 after all as long as the rad doesn't let me down lol.

Wow-- thanks for that 70GTX, don't if my head is going to fit thru my shop door now lol.
Hope to fire this one up by the end of the month , picking up my stock Gardner exhaust system this week in NY, that should do it underneath.
Will work at getting the interior complete over the next wk and a half just waiting for a few small missing and wornout trim pcs to come in.

Worked at getting the stock exhaust kit installed on the bee, got to give the guys at Gardner Exhaust a tip of the hat as they run a class act, I could not believe how nice and exact everything fit and lined up, even the fit to the manifolds was bang on flush--install was breeze all hangers clamps etc. are supplied.Finished steel wheels and Goodyear G70 tires mounted --on the home stretch with this thing!!!

Got the rad back in the car full of anti freeze --no drips all is good, now I can prepare to fire it up. Got a tip on dyeing the seat belts from hunt2elk so I did that and hung them up to dry in the same horney fashion.Got carpeting and seats to install this week then start the thing up, cut and polish the paint and install the tail strip this weekend if all goes as planned.

I will get a flick of it running soon, just been busy with all the final little things--interior is complete, kind of funny made sure got paint on the manifolds like the factory did for originality and that was gone at startup in about 10 minutes quite the smoke show lol. Finished the final cut and polish last night--just like glass looks great.
If any of you canucks are going to Mega Speed in T.O. next Friday stop by and say hi as the BEE will be in Hall 1, hope ya like it.Also could not resist letting the Darts out for a little fresh air getting impatient with this *#@!!winter thing.

Well I entered and showed the Bee at the Mega Speed Custom Car and Truck show in Toronto this past weekend and the interest was overwelming.
Was in with some pretty high end built stuff and the factory stock bee came out of smelling like a rose.
It won best 60's Street Stock Award As well as the award for 2nd place for the top 10 cars in the show.
Kinda cool for this A12 and my first B body resto.
