72 Satellite Gen III Hemi Restomod

I started making my new upper cross brace. I got some angle and commenced making many cuts. I used a coat hanger to make a template. One of the reliefs was too deep and broke. It should be fine since I have to weld it all back up anyway. I still have some clearancing to do, but I'm pretty close.

Looks like what I did with the rectangle tube that I sliced for mine.

Finally got the transmission mounted after several setbacks. Also got the RMS motor mounts and cross member installed. Very close to a first test fit.

Nice, I am about to drop the K frame and remount the engine so I can check the bellhousing on my 71 Charger.

Got the starter and inspection cover installed. You have to remove a lot more metal than I was expecting. I wish I had a picture like this before I started to know what I was in for.

Unfortunately my bell housing isn't the right shape for the Holley oil pan reinforcement bracket that I waited 5 months for. So that'll be going up for sale I suppose. Anyone have a good idea for a cover?

I too was surprised about the starter-block issue on mine.

Well, the inside half is stock. The engine bay is a vintage air setup for an E-body that almost fits. The compressor came with the Holley mid-mount kit.
I am running a complete Vintage Air system and am debating on where to run the lines, right now I am leaning hard to running them under the pass fender. I have the E body line kit which brings them through the fan opening but I just don't like them.

I was able to finish my hard lines for the front brakes. I end up running the diver side through the opening above the frame rail instead of under it like the original. I also got my passthrough cut for my harness. The hole saw I used like to kick pretty bad and it chattered it's way down my firewall. I also opened my passenger door into a nearby jack stand. The touchup paint will definitely be used. I have a high appreciation for someone who can put a car together without scratching it.

While I'll be running TTI headers eventually, I'm sticking with the stock manifolds for now until I get the tune dialed in. Otherwise I run the risk of damaging the ceramic coating. The passenger frame rail interfered a bit on a flange, so some clearancing was in order. I got the engine back in, hopefully for the last time.

You are definitely making some progress. I am running TTI headers with a Borgeson box (as well as TTI motor mounts). They fit exceptionally nice but VERY tight on the drivers side.
