727 dipstick leak back??

Where does it leak from?? All are fixable..
tough to know exactly, but it appears to be in front and above the drain plug. Can it leak from the flywheel inspection cover (I think that's what it's called)

No matter where it leaks above it always seems to drip off the front passenger corner of pans.

Shifter shaft seal, throttle shaft seal would be my first look. Then the front band adjuster nut/stud (to the left of the shifter/throttle shaft) to see if those are leaking. Then when you have all those sealed.. like I did... you find out it's actually the rear servo lever pin that is leaking out the back of the case.. then all the way around the pan to drip off the front. I wasn't dropping my pan again to change the O ring, so cleaned and sealed it with some PRC fuel tank sealer.

I've lost track of what the OP was asking about. Leakage from the pan or dip stick or about the increased level in the pan. Those are two very different issues. He was asking why the level of fluid increased in the pan on the dipstick level.

Sorry... I'll try harder to ignore others that ask for help within a thread.... :poke:
